I feel so sorry for Harry because it's as if he's being swept along in this melee where everything that is done puts him in the firing line for criticism. I just don't think he 'sees' it all like most people do. He's lost his judgement.

He is a grown man with the tools and resources to leave if he is unhappy, perhaps he is (gasp) happy.

@Eminybob

What lovely news and gorgeous picture.

I can’t believe the negativity from some people.
Of course they want to make an announcement, like a lot of people do on social media. It doesn’t mean they don’t want to have privacy, they are just controlling the timing of the announcement before it gets leaked/becomes too obvious to hide.

I really like them both and wish them all the best.

I wish them all the best.

But...

no single member of the RF has ever made a baby announcement like this (with stylised Hollywood type photo)

They withdrew from the RF because they didn't like the attention.

Irony?

She must have got pregnant very quickly after her miscarriage. Good for them.

They said they would only have two because of the environmental impact. I remember because it was when Kate was pregnant with her third!

@EllasAuntie

Completely mixed messages from these two. On the one hand they press charges for invasion of privacy, on the other they publish a clearly stylised shot of them. All it needed was a worded announcement.

He is an adult, I am sure he’s not being “swept along in a melee”.

People are so keen to paint her as a schemer, I just don’t get it.

A baby is lovely news - and people can expect and want privacy, but appreciate there is a huge public demand for info, so manage the flow of information as best they can. By releasing a picture they will hopefully reduce the market for paparazzi shots etc.

Blobby10 · 15/02/2021 08:29

I suspected she was pregnant again when such a lot was made the other week about Harry coming along to celebrate the Queen's and Duke of Edinburgh's big birthdays.

cheezy · 15/02/2021 08:29

How can anyone say it’s a horrible photo ConfusedHmm
Honestly, some people are full of spite.
They look happy, best of luck to them.

Roussette · 15/02/2021 08:31

No idea why, he looks the happiest he's been for years.

Ummm... So Eugenie's engagement photo, pregnancy announcement and baby arrival photos, weren't 'stylised'?

Ahhh got it... she isn't Meghan!

Great news for them especially after a MC. I'm pleased for them.

Hope this thread does get zapped if it turns as unpleasant as the last one.

TheLaughingGenome · 15/02/2021 08:32

It's certainly set Piers Morgan off ...

Do you struggle with ideas of consent in other aspects of your life?

Same4Walls · 15/02/2021 08:38

Any baby born into a family where they are wanted and to parents will love them is nice news , but like I said yesterday I'm just baffeld that they didn't include Archie in the picture. The photo looks like one a set of first time parents would do. It's odd in my opinion he's not included.

AlternativePerspective · 15/02/2021 08:39

Sparklingbrook · 15/02/2021 08:40

This is thread 3. The first two threads have been deleted, I am not sure it's possible to have a nice thread about this.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 15/02/2021 08:41

Oh the irony
Posters complaining that they are "addicted to the backlash" who start thread after thread of attention seeking bollocks on a chat forum
It's almost funny

Tullyjune · 15/02/2021 08:43

They both seem like nice people and I wish Meghan a safe pregnancy and birth. How lovely for Archie to have a sibling.

mootymoo · 15/02/2021 08:44

I thought they wanted privacy, to be private citizens??? Private citizens don't post about their lives on public access websites unless they want to court publicity

Maybe they want to limit his exposure to the press?

None of those are a baby bump photo. Unless you can't see that.

And they were from a woman who resented press intrusion enough to flee the UK.

Bearing in mind this baby will be something like 8th in line to the throne, it would be extremely odd not to announce a pregnancy and birth.

mootymoo · 15/02/2021 08:47

@cheezy

Photo is fine, it's the hypocrisy that I take exception to. Not just them, so many so called celebs want all the trappings of fame but demand privacy when it suits them
