Really don't understand how people can be so awful and bitter about them (or anyone they don't know for that matter!)

Jealousy maybe? That they are now happy and living their lives..

All I see is a couple, living happily in their bubble during a pandemic and after heartache... And if they can create happiness and joy during such a hard time then good for them!

They can announce it exactly how they want to, it's up to them.

Ummm.... because the baby will be 8th in line to the throne in the UK?

Can you even begin to imagine he outcry if suddenly the public found out they had had a baby without telling anyone about a pregnancy? The threads on here would be horrific, until they are rightly zapped.

i'll pass that on to Eugenie. She did all of that for engagement, pregnancy announcement, and baby.
She didn't know that either.

They are both lovely, genuine people, good on them. Harry always looks so happy when he is with her.

They aren't living as serving RF members so why do people still hold them to that standard and compare to what Eugenie did or didn't do?

I think it's a beautiful photo and I'm very happy for them, pregnancy after miscarriage is a wonderful and scary time, I wish them all the best

Apparently not! It's attention seeking if M&H do it, but doesn't matter if anyone else does. They have their own special set of rules that don't apply to the rest of the population.
No baby announcements, no pics, no IG. Not allowed if you are M&H

I'm not a fan but I wish them well. I'm astounded that on a site called Mumsnet that anyone could be unkind about the news of a new baby on the way. It's a time of joy for them.

He utterly adores her, it’s sweet. Good for them telling the media and RF to do one, both completely toxic organisations. The photo is beautiful.

I don’t understand the “I thought they wanted privacy” comments. They do. But the baby is still in the line of succession so they accept they have to announce eventually. They’ve managed to keep it quiet a fair bit longer than usual!

Maybe they want to limit his exposure to the press?

Which is of course their right as his parents but it just seemed odd to me that their announcement was focused on him being a big brother and yet he was notably absent from the photo.

It will be lovely for him to have a sibling to play with, I cant imagine he's seen many other children like so many his age due to the current situation.

Some of the criticisms of them are really clutching at straws. People seem to think they know them and have inside knowledge about Harry being manipulated that they can't possibly know.

Bloody hell, you must really dislike MM to make that connection.

Whenever they announced it would be wrong for those that dislike them so much.
If it was on a day that K&W did a zoom call, that would be wrong! How dare they! Eugenie has had her baby and announced it. And no doubt the RF knew they were expecting anyway and who knows but what this wasn't agreed?
That idea is too much of a stretch for some on here though... the thought they all actually communicate.
Perhaps Harry spoke to his cousin and said we'd love to announce it on Valentines Day, are you OK with that, and she said yes of course! What a novel thought but of of course it won't fit in with the narrative some of you are desperate to believe..

Why are they always looking to steal the limelight from Eugenie? Why not announce it a couple of weeks ago, before Eugenie’s due date? She’s clearly quite far along so it’s not like they were waiting for the 12 week scan. Seems an oddly attention-grabbing way to announce you’re having a baby. How much effort and styling went into that photo?

They just love to be looked at and admired don’t they?

A certain type of person would criticise them no matter what they did.
