I was a time out wafer yesterday and thought about "proper" Time Outs. They were really good!

I had a really nice terrys mint chocolate "orange" at christmas one year

Beef and onion walkers only seem to be available half the years

I remember the following Terry's things:

Neapolitans, Bitz, Waifa and Pyramint. I forget who made Walnut Whip or if they're still around.

Texan bars, made with weird-tasting chocolate and industrial-strength caramel.

Toffee Treets, in a pale blue bag. Minstrels were originally called Treets as well.

Fizz bombs. The blue and white ones were near-atomic.

Swizzels Mr. Fruits. Plastic fruit shapes filled with sherbet. They later came in grenade shapes too.

Galaxy Buttons.

Moose bars. Similar to Milky Way.

Toffos. I loved the mint ones

The banana split toffees in Woolies pick 'n mix, the ones with the yellow bit in the centre.

Cadburys Marble, was so nice!

Citrus Spring - I loved every flavour.

Double Agents.

These rectangular fruit sweets that had individual wrappers with pictures of the fruit that they were flavoured with. Fruit bonbons I think they were called.

Not strictly treats but, firstly, Uncle Ben's Potato Gratin jars, I am still mourning their loss and I think they disappeared in about 1999. Especially the provencal one.

Secondly, I'm almost starting to think I dreamed this up because I can find no trace of it ever having existed but in the 90s Birds Eye (I think) did a kind of Mediterranean vegetable puff pastry slice, it was lovely. I think I remember Caroline Quentin being in the advert.

Flyte bars were lovely and also low calorie, no idea why they went.

Was Bitz the one in the blue wrapper with green writing, a mint flavour bar? If so I liked that too. If not, what was that called??

I thought walnut whips were around but thinking about it I haven't seen one in ages!

You can get Galaxy counters that are buttons I think?

Cadbury marble was nice.

I liked pink wafers in the 80s / 90s? I don't think you can get those any more

Spiras. I used to suck coffee up through the middle

They have pink wafers in supermarkets now (you mean wafer biscuits, yes?)

Spiras. Hedgehog crisps. Phileas fogg garlicky things- initially were MM. Cadbury’s chocolate before kraft got hold of it.

You can still get Walnut Whips but they're now sans walnut, so they're just Whips now. I miss:

Tab Clear

@ScottChegg Walkers make banana split toffees, they are delicious.

Also Fry’s Fruit cream bar... 5 different flavours In one bar

Not chocolate but a ‘crisp’ they were like french fries in shape, but they were hollow and more rounded. Annoyingly I can’t remember what they were called.

SimonJT I don't remember those crisps. They sound a bit like wheat crunchies

Does anyone else remember pizza crisps? They were like the texture of Quavers or Snaps but cheese and tomato flavour. Not sure what they were called
