Is there a particular present you bought for someone this year that you just can’t wait to give them?
And if so what is it and why?

Got my son an electric razor and aftershave. Am exciting to see him clean shaven and smelling gorgeous!

ChikiTIKI · 17/12/2020 21:59

For my 3 year old I bought spray foam (range 3 metres!!!) and glow sticks, for the bath.
I think it will be lots of fun!

Millie2013 · 17/12/2020 22:00

A bottle of Chanel no5 for my mum. My dearly departed dad used to buy it for her

SquareEyes3523 · 17/12/2020 22:03

An electronic bear with baby bottle for DS age 7. I don't think he knows he's getting it, he'll be over the moon.

jitterbugintomybrain · 17/12/2020 22:05

Bellows!

MintyCedric · 17/12/2020 22:05

A necklace for DD. She was going to have it for her 16th earlier in the year but for various reasons it didn't happen at the time.

I think she's partly expecting it but will still enjoy watching her open it.

jitterbugintomybrain · 17/12/2020 22:05

For my DH. Our friend has some and he is always raving on about them.

KevinTheCarrot12 · 17/12/2020 22:07

A scrapbook I’ve made for my friend with photos of her son, dog, family etc. I’m hoping she will be pleased with it 😂

Smarshian · 17/12/2020 22:08

A paw patrol motorised dinosaur vehicle for DS and a scooter for DD. They will both love them!

DramaAlpaca · 17/12/2020 22:08

A coffee machine for 25 year old DS. He has no idea and he will love it.

ExplodingCarrots · 17/12/2020 22:11

A piece of art for my DH. He saw it in a shop in Camden when we went to London in February but we couldn't buy it because it was too big to carry on the tube and 6 hour train home. I contacted the shop and they couriered it to us. He will have no clue.

I wish there was a like button. These are all nice to read Smile

A book of sex positions for DH, at his request!

ThePug · 17/12/2020 22:19

A Stickman toy for my 2 year old. He's getting loads of great presents but I know he'll be over the moon with this as he loves watching Stickman. When we went to choose a Christmas tree he found a stick on the floor and said 'Stickman ... back to the family tree', found a tree and carefully placed it in it Smile

Ifyoulikepinacoladaa · 17/12/2020 22:22

My dd who is 2 has been on about a frog umbrella for months. I’ve bought her one and I’m excited to see if she’s pleased with it.

NiceTwin · 17/12/2020 22:29

For my dh, a Samsung Galaxy smart watch.
He will have no idea.

He never spends money on himself and he has no idea I have been squirelling money away to get it for him.
Can't wait to see his face.

Thecrisplover · 17/12/2020 22:34

A miaowing cat that DD saw when we went shopping. As soon as we got home she wrote to Father Christmas asking for it! Can't wait to see her face!

Cinderbelly · 17/12/2020 22:46

I have taken some home videos from 30+ years ago and had them converted to DVD with a copy for all family members. I watched them at the weekend and I can wait to gift them and talk to my family about how unfashionable we were and reminisce about our childhood memories

Ifionlyknewthenwhatiknownow3 · 17/12/2020 22:47

A couple of really nice merino shirts for my two boys. Not baselayers or hoodies, actual shirts.
DH splashed out on one a month or so ago and it's beautiful and toasty.

SoggyBiscuitss · 17/12/2020 22:56

Aww I kind of wish I’d get to watch all your family members receive these presents!!!

@ThePug ah me too! Although my 2yo calls his "dickman" 😂

spaceghetto · 17/12/2020 23:04

@Cinderbelly that is such a lovely gift!

MyDiamondShoesAreTooTight · 17/12/2020 23:07

I have bought my 2 year old nephew a Tonie box with carry case and 12 tonie figures. He can’t talk at all so I’m hoping if my sister has it on in the back ground a lot it will help with his speech and language skills.

SendHelp30 · 17/12/2020 23:07

I’ve got my 3yo DS an underwater disco light and I really can’t wait to see his face, I’ll probably cry!!
He is quite severely disabled and is at his happiest in water & he loves bright, disco lights so this will be a dream come true for him!
He only has a few single words so won’t be able to tell me he loves it but I know his huge smile and laugh will no doubt bring me to tears!

SendHelp30 · 17/12/2020 23:08

Thanks for thread OP, such a lovely thought.
