What little bit of luxury do you have for every day?

I’d love to hear.

I love my cashmere snood/scarf. I’m a teacher and have to teach with the windows open at the moment so it keeps me warm and feels amazing. 💗

What do others have that is a little bit of luxury for every day?

My little treat for today was to wear my lovely new bargain eBay purchase (new without tags) of a beautiful berry red wool coat. I was only walking into town for a couple of quick errands but I thought why not dress up a little. I’ve decided not to keep it for evenings out as was my intention, instead I’m just going to enjoy wearing it day-to-day and feeling fabulous.

I wore one of my beautiful 'special occasion' dresses today, just because. Have enjoyed swishing around very much!

I wore a pair of very sparkly ankle boots at the weekend, and they made me smile all day - and one woman complemented me on them and said she must get a pair x

Holly, can we see a photo of your coat? What make is it? It sounds just what I’m looking for!

@OneRingToRuleThemAll

Flavoured latte. Made at home to save £. Only one per day as the calories add up.

This is mine as well. Choco-capuccino every day at 11. Has the calories of a small meal, but worth it.

Sparkly boots sound perfect. I've got some metallic boots that I've hardly worn - will dig them out.

Fancy oils, vinegars, seeds and condiments generally.

A tiny bit of something luxury can make an enormous difference to the rest of the meal - I had incredible salads all summer off two small bottles of flavoured oil.

It’s Jaeger. From a couple of years ago now, I think.

This one is quite similar

This colour is closer

Mine is cocoon shaped rather than fitted, though.

A few things. I have Molton Brown handsoap ( vanilla jojoba smells nice enough to eat) fancy expensive bedding, expensive body washes, shampoos and lotions. Tiny bottle of rose absolute that cost a mini fortune.

Yet another one... We have a bogstandard kettle for all the jobs a kettle is needed for. However I also have a second kettle, this little electric gooseneck kettle specifically to use for making coffee with my little V60 filter thingy. It's utterly unnecessary but makes the job of making coffee easier and nicer and I just love the whole ritual of it first thing in the morning, I can't get on with my day until I've brewed and drunk a cup of proper coffee. I love my special kettle.

I only have a couple of plastic V60s but I keep thinking I might treat myself to a lovely copper one. Also totally unnecessary but lovely.

@ficklemissfickle

This is a lovely thread & made me realise how much we all need & deserve a little bit of luxury every day, mine is my daily cappuccino & a weekly podcast that makes me properly laugh out loud!! I'm now going to think about more luxurious things to add to my life!!!

Ooh which podcast @ficklemissfickle? I haven't got into podcasts yet, but I really want to .. just never know what to start with.

@TheWeightOfWords

Sincere apologies for putting a downer on the thread, but can I please say: eucalyptus and some other oils are poisonous to pets

I would hate for someone's pet to get into trouble.

@TheWeightOfWords thanks, I didn't know that. Could you recommend some oils I can put in my diffuser that aren't poisonous to cats?

Cup of tea in bed first thing, with 10 mins to myself before I get up.

Shower then nuxe body oil which I've only recently discovered. These 2 x things make the start of my day pleasant & bearable.

@NowImmeagain.I don't know I'm afraid but I expect there is a veterinary website somewhere that explains things.

Delicious Molton Brown hand wash at all the sinks and a Mont Blanc pen which is a delight to write with. Now I am wfh I can actually use it as I was too frightened thats I'd loose it at the office

Expensive hand wash. And really good quality tea that is hard to source. With most other things I'm happy to compromise.

This thread is amazing and has made me realise I don't treat myself at all. I'm just trying not to have a breakdown.

Must do better.

@InvincibleInvisibility Flowers I’m so sorry to hear things are tough. I think we’re all doing well to remain standing with everything that is happening.

Thanks OP. My 9 year old has just been diagnosed with ADHD and dyspraxia and we're all struggling. Not helped by him being in a stupidly tough school. Only 3 days of school this week but 8 tests! And all tests count towards their term and then yearly grade which affects what secondary school you can go to.

The pressure is enormous. I need to do something nice for myself but my brain is too full to think what that could be.
