What little bit of luxury do you have for every day?

I’d love to hear.

I love my cashmere snood/scarf. I’m a teacher and have to teach with the windows open at the moment so it keeps me warm and feels amazing. 💗

What do others have that is a little bit of luxury for every day?

Just discovered Molton Brown I love it will get a 500 pump size thinking of hand wash as well, is that greedy?

Doobydoo · 13/12/2020 20:11

Chanel No5.
Lavazza Modo Mio coffee machine coffee
Earl Grey
Candles
Very very lucky.

Icenii · 13/12/2020 20:13

I have lots of lovely things. I'm very lucky. My most favourite daily thing however, is a morning cuppa of PG Tips!

MellowBird85 · 13/12/2020 20:16

@zzizz

I often think to myself that we live lives which Kings and Queens could only dream of centuries ago - central heating, comfortable beds, warm clean clothes, running water, food and drink and entertainment on demand and so on and so forth. So I can't think of a single daily luxury, but I think our lives are luxurious anyway IYSWIM.
Lovely post zzizz. I think the same.
MorvaanReed · 13/12/2020 20:18

Nice soap. The scent/brand varies and some buys have turned out to be nicer than others but I prefer bars of soap to hand wash or shower gel and don't have much of a budget for spoiling myself, so that's my thing - good soap.

Oblomov20 · 13/12/2020 20:22

Electric blanket. I jump into bed and it's so warm and snuggly.
Perfume.
Treat myself to food regularly eg a baileys, or smoked salmon and asparagus.

Dinosauraddict · 13/12/2020 20:24

My gravity blanket to snuggle under each night, and a single white rabbit sweet after lunch every day.

SquirrelFan · 13/12/2020 20:26

The New York Times crossword puzzle every morning with a cup of proper filter coffee. I get up early in order to fit this in without stress.

Brogues · 13/12/2020 20:35

I had Betty’s Christmas tea in a peppermint handled Spode Christmas tree mug this morning and I was in heaven.

I always think my kindle is very luxurious. The novelty still hasn’t worn off even though it is 7 years old.

Aromatherapy Associates bath and shower oil too.

Sawyersfishbiscuits · 13/12/2020 20:38

Earl Grey in a good Emma Bridgewater mug ❤️
I think I need more luxuries in my life though after reading this.

Millie2013 · 13/12/2020 20:38

A huge bottle of Philosophy facial cleanser. It was gifted to my mum and she gave it to me. I stashed it for ages, as it seemed too extravagant to use Blush but I’ve recently put it in the shower and my goodness, it’s lovely 😍

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/12/2020 20:45

MB stuff just doesn't excite me tbh.

Agree re Kindle. My second hand i-phone too. And my MacBook. Have never been tech-ish, but all 3 of these improve my life every day.

purplecorkheart · 13/12/2020 20:46

Jo Malone Peony and Blush perfume. I love it.

In the last few years I have lost some of my best friends to ill health. I have helped their spouses pack up their things. One of the things that broke my heart was the things that they had put aside for a good occasion and never used. Now I wear my good perfume every day. I weae my fancy (but appropriate) tops to work etc.

Legalhelp · 13/12/2020 21:26

Lighting the candles early morning and late afternoon until bedtime

An afternoon biscuit and hot chocolate with marshmallows with my toddler Dd sat at the table reading Christmas books or cuddled up watching a film

My chunky wool hat and scarf for walks in the woods

Sitting by the log burner with my dog

Starting to wear make up and perfume again after a couple of years of being in the trenches with a baby/toddler and not having/taking time to take care of myself. I always feel so much better if I take time to wave my hair or put a bit of make up or perfume on

Trying new lovely, hearty slow cooker meal recipes and Christmas baking

wellthisisnewandconfusing · 13/12/2020 21:29

Creamy coffee in bed in the mornings. Silk pyjamas.

AlaskaThunderfuckHiiiiiiiii · 13/12/2020 21:36

Perfume every day
Charlotte tilbury make up
My stitch fix box when I get one 😍
Wax melts that make the house smell amazing
Nice shower stuff, function of beauty hair care etc

birdseedpie · 13/12/2020 21:38

Some of the Morrison's version of Radox foam bath in my bath before bed.

Iv tried these and they are lovely. The smells are gorgeous. During the first lockdown I couldn’t get them, had to wait months till they got them in again

They are Smile I thought I'd get a reply saying they aren't a luxury but they are to me.
MumOfPsuedoAdult · 13/12/2020 21:42

Strivectin anti wrinkle moisturiser. It's eye wateringly expensive (IMO) so I use the tiniest amount to make it last.

goingtosnow · 13/12/2020 21:46

@Goingdooolally

Which bed linen do people recommend?
I get mine from King of Cotton and I won't go under 600thread count egyptian cotton sateen
Whattheduck · 13/12/2020 21:49

A lovely hot shower when I get home from work using Feather and Down Melting Shower Cream then putting on fresh clean pyjamas and sitting with a cup of Camomile tea and reading my book or talking to Dd about her day for 10 minutes before making the evening meal

2bazookas · 13/12/2020 21:57

Linen pillowcases.
French soap

Persephoned · 13/12/2020 22:15

That’s so true @purplecorkheart a lovely post Flowers

One of the things I’ve enjoyed reading about this thread is how many are daily things to enhance life - bedding and tea and moisturiser Smile

Mine is my iggy box candle subscription, such a pleasure each month, and body shop ginger and orange shower and shampoo goodies so I smell la Christmas trifle every morning.

Goingdooolally · 13/12/2020 22:27

Another of mine is really soft loungewear (hate the term!) but I am so sensitive to right and scratchy things. I’ve discovered these and they are heavenly. So soft and cover my bum. Perfect to wear around the house.

I’m due any day and to keep me distracted, I’m either doing long showers with Molton Brown shower gel and L’Occitane almond oil, or long baths with Radox bath salts & a face mask.

Then a full on skincare routine, fresh pyjamas and a spritz of perfume.

And then beginning my very busy day of lying on the sofa watching Christmas films.

Mookie81 · 13/12/2020 22:37

Thanks to this thread I've just spent £120 on JL cashmere snood (pink), matching gloves and 2 bottles of MB shower gel (rhubarb/templetree)! 🙈
I'm putting them under the tree Grin.
