What little bit of luxury do you have for every day?

I’d love to hear.

I love my cashmere snood/scarf. I’m a teacher and have to teach with the windows open at the moment so it keeps me warm and feels amazing. 💗

What do others have that is a little bit of luxury for every day?

Another amazing buy although bloody expensive is this, it feels sooooo good (it has pumice in it). Mine has just lasted 8 months.

Creed rose perfume, Georg Jensen gold earrings and cashmere every day.

Also sipping coffee out of my beautiful new handle-less cups.

Goingdooolally · 13/12/2020 13:49

These are wonderful. It’s so important to treat ourselves every day (it doesn’t need to be expensive).

I just bought my husband (he loves cooking) a how to make sourdough bread book - does that count? @VodselForDinner 😁

Nice fountain pens. Perfume (though it’s perfume parlour for me) Savon du Marseilles soap in the shower. Long hot water bottle in the bottom of the bed (so not fighting with dh over it).

I have some lovely Ralph Lauren bedding. Duvet and pillows, knitted throw and cable pillow. For a ridiculous price of £600.
In walk DGD “Nanny why did you get your covers from Lloyds Bank?”

Pipandmum · 13/12/2020 13:58

My wood burner. I light it every night. Really makes the house nice and cosy.

Shuffled · 13/12/2020 13:59

Great Cotton bedding changed every 4 days.

Molton brown shower gel

Coffee machine

Cheaper but wax melts that make the house smell amazing.

Sparklingbrook · 13/12/2020 14:02

Can anyone recommend any of the other 'flavours' of Molton Brown anything? I have stuck with Black Peppercorn for years now as I love it so much. Maybe it's time for a change?

Goingdooolally · 13/12/2020 14:07

Which bed linen do people recommend?

@Sparkling i love the orange and bergamot ‘flavour’

Madbengalmum · 13/12/2020 14:11

Goingdoolally, depends on your budget. You can spend many, many hundreds on certain brands. Are you Looking at best high st or high end?

Sparklingbrook, I like the Rhubarb one and also Eucalyptus.

Thank you , I will try and get a sniff of that. Smile The Black Peppercorn is quite aftershavey so might be nice to have more 'fruity'.

Madbengalmum · 13/12/2020 14:12

Sparkling, seconding orange/bergamot, also. Forgot that!

TeaMeBasil · 13/12/2020 14:12

Bed linen is White Company for me, feels likes a hotel bed but cosier cos it's your own. I've put on my thick winter duvet now so it now feels like a cloud.

Madbengalmum · 13/12/2020 14:15

@Goingdooolally, whitecompany is popular for high st.

Frette / Yves Delorme / Pratesi are all absolutely fantastic but lots of ££££’s. Worth it imho though.

I do need to get down to John Lewis for a sniff, but that said I might just buy one as I doubt there's a horrible one. Two votes for the Orange/Bergamot is good!
Madbengalmum · 13/12/2020 14:18

@Sparklingbrook, have a sniff of Rhubarb and also Eucalyptus ones too.

Thank you-will do. There's a Molton Brown shop in the town where DS is at Uni so will pop in.

gincakecomps · 13/12/2020 14:22

Goingdooolally · 13/12/2020 14:24

Expensive skincare, make up and perfume. It might not be any different to the drugstore stuff, but I'll happily wear a jumper I purchased from Tesco with a £200 face cream.

littleharissa · 13/12/2020 14:27

@Sparklingbrook

EnPoinsettia · 13/12/2020 14:28

My Nespresso in a beautiful cup bought for me by my daughter
My amazing super king size bed all to myself with wonderful bed linen
my new radio and Spotify to sling on some women in jazz songs
my hive to heat and light up the house as we move around it and to two on the electric blanket when I am in another room.
My freedom and the ability to move around my house with absolute safety and no domestic disputes.
