Help with stupidly hard quiz

Each year my work does a stupidly hard quiz. There are many stages and we get a month to try and do it.

Anyone help me with this stage? there are 21 pictures of celebrities and I've managed to work out who they all are but now I'm stuck on working out the password to the next stage. Each picture has a coloured Roman numeral in it so I assume I have to use those to work out the answer...

Have you tried putting the letters in Roman numeral order so B(if that's I) D (if that's II) etc?

SpamIAm · 01/12/2020 11:36

Maybe the Roman numeral is which number letter you need from that persons name?

ApocalypseNowt · 01/12/2020 11:37

Sorry, probably having a brain fart but I'm not sure what you mean?

Tried that Spam but it doesn't seem to spell anything Sad

I think @SpamIAm has it. The Roman numeral is the number letter you need to take from the name.

Say x (10) from Lucy Lawless would be letter s?

TheGoodEnoughWife · 01/12/2020 11:40

What are the letters when you do that?

ChequerBoard · 01/12/2020 11:40

From what I can many of the pictures have the same Roman numeral on them - several X's for example?

PurpleDaisies · 01/12/2020 11:41

I can’t see the pictures but you’ve got Wil Wheaton’s name spelt wrong. That might affect the password.

PurpleDaisies · 01/12/2020 11:42

Is the password supposed to be a real word?

Knittedfairies · 01/12/2020 11:49

I have to commend you for getting this far; there are names on your list I don't recognise. Good luck!

ReplacementPlasticUterus · 01/12/2020 12:00

Is the password one word or a phrase?

Have you tried grouping into colours, then writing down the letter corresponding with the Roman numeral in those names?

So, yellow would be 7th letter of Tim Tebow = O, 10th letter of Priscilla Presley = P etc?

blarbra · 01/12/2020 12:03

Ok I'm in for the long haul @ApocalypseNowt because I love a challenge...👍🤣
First things first...that's not Kim kardashian it's Kourtney kardashian.

TheGoodEnoughWife · 01/12/2020 12:04

I got poems from some of the yellow letters! It's a start ;-)

rosegoldwatcher · 01/12/2020 12:05

If it helps at all I think that I got the word JETTY from the red words.

blarbra · 01/12/2020 12:07

And will weaton has a h so will Wheaton

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 01/12/2020 12:10

I'd have guessed at anagrams of the letters given by the Roman numerals in each colour group.

Giving a phrase that you answer to get the password.

Chickychickydodah · 01/12/2020 12:11

It’s Wil Wheaton

PurpleDaisies · 01/12/2020 12:12

@blarbra

And will weaton has a h so will Wheaton
He only has one L. It is Wil Wheaton (as I posted earlier).
PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 01/12/2020 12:12

How long is the password?

blarbra · 01/12/2020 12:13

👍 wil Wheaton

Notcoolmum · 01/12/2020 12:22

Group by colour and then in numerical order within each? Any clues from that?

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 01/12/2020 12:27

How stupidly hard is it usually? I can't see it well enough on the picture, but I wondered whether the positions of the numbers (which corner) might indicate something.

blarbra · 01/12/2020 12:30

Can I see a better pic of priscella Presley OP?

rosegoldwatcher · 01/12/2020 12:30

Scratch that - not JETTY - i missed some reds.

VienneseWhirligig · 01/12/2020 12:31

Do the colours of the initials indicate a word? So all the blue together = 1 word, then all the yellow, and so on?
