The happy place cafe 2 - advent opening

Thanks to a couple of really nice PMs the cafe is reopening until and including Xmas.

For the regulars

The kitten bees are inside for winter, please watch out for them getting stuck in jam.

F and F seem to be slightly more than friends.

The water feature has become an ice rink.

To anyone new:

This virtual cafe is a covid free zone. There are a number of seats / sofas / wing back chairs.

It opened in the first lockdown, it is an escape from isolating, home ed, mask wearing. It is a happy place, it is the opposite of AIBU.

A different breakfast is served every day and sometime packing up to take to work.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Dogs and children are welcome. Babies can be handed over to regulars to give you a break and we also have cots for them to sleep.

Outside is a cat amusement area with catnip bush and toys.

Kitten bees are kittens the size of bees with wings and their tails can transform into tiny umbrellas.

Fernando is making cocktails and mocktails @Frownette. @crazycatlady7hand that baby over at once, take a seat and give Florence your order.

Nice breads / croissants / rolls with jam this morning and hot chocolate.

Ooo a mock tail sounds good @sashh, here's the baby- he's rather grumpy having been up every hour since 3!

@Frownette I'm really counting down, looking forward to the time off and not dividing myself between work and being mummy!

I’ve got a nice day of seeing a friend, swimming, then cycling to Aldi to find Christmas treats.

Croissant and coffee for me please.

I've made several phone calls, done some paperwork and posted present off at PO. It's like hell's grotto in there: NO THE QUEUE STARTS OUTSIDE. KEEP TO THE MARKED TAPE, I REPEAT KEEP TO THE MARKED TAPE.

Then post office were insanely curious by contents and said "what's it like?" and I said well I don't know, I'm only sending it! Haven't tried it myself! (Gadget thing)

I've been to the post office myself it was so busy! I use it to pay my wage in as it's much easier than trying to get to the bank.

I thought we could venture outside today. I'm going to do a breakfast bbq.

I've put a selection of heaters and blankets out.

The kitten bees were getting a little bored so they are out, please let them near heaters.

But the little kitten bees now have their own sparkly jumpers so won't be cold

I think IRL I'm about to head off to the kitchen for smokey baked beans on cheese on toast and coffee.

What would you do for a Bbq breakfast, sashh?

It was indeed lovely thank you . I swam later than usual and had a whole double lane to myself. When I’m a millionaire, I’m buying a house with a 50 meter heated outdoor pool.

BBQ breakfast is a normal cooked breakfast but outside.

Well I'm in the mood for kippers. I know they are nto to everyone's taste so Florence is making croissants.

Fernando is making coffees, some fancy things with caramel and frothy milk.

Look I know kippers are not to everyone's taste but I didn't think they would clear the place.

I'm going to have a sit down, Florence is baking pastries and Fernando is still experimenting with the coffees and syrups.

Actually I have a craving for thai noodles

But after I've had those I'll be back for a coffee and pastry!
