The happy place cafe 2 - advent opening

Thanks to a couple of really nice PMs the cafe is reopening until and including Xmas.

For the regulars

The kitten bees are inside for winter, please watch out for them getting stuck in jam.

F and F seem to be slightly more than friends.

The water feature has become an ice rink.

To anyone new:

This virtual cafe is a covid free zone. There are a number of seats / sofas / wing back chairs.

It opened in the first lockdown, it is an escape from isolating, home ed, mask wearing. It is a happy place, it is the opposite of AIBU.

A different breakfast is served every day and sometime packing up to take to work.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Dogs and children are welcome. Babies can be handed over to regulars to give you a break and we also have cots for them to sleep.

Outside is a cat amusement area with catnip bush and toys.

Kitten bees are kittens the size of bees with wings and their tails can transform into tiny umbrellas.

Afternoon everyone!

Just here to whip up some hot chocolates, highly recommend one with a shot of salted caramel flavour Baileys.

Do we have a tree up yet? Do we need to take precautions against the kitten bees?

Well as no one guessed we are having jaffles, pick your filling. Florence is on jaffle duty.

I don't celebrate Xmas (true IRL) but I'm happy for anyone else to put up a tree (the kitten bees will probably fall asleep in it) and decoarations.

It's quite chilly here so huevos rancheros will warm us up, Fernando is making mate alongside the coffees and Florence has spent the night making south american style pastries.

Has anyone tried the ice rink in the garden? I wondering about changing it for blocks of ice so we can try making ice sculptures.

Oh I'm sorry to hear about your mum. When it happens suddenly somehow it is worse.

My mum was a stubborn woman, she was given the usual 6 months when the cancer returned and was in her liver, but managed almost 3 years. By the time she actually did pass away we were ready as a family.

What would your mum have liked as an ice sculpture? I'll get on with ordering ice while you eat.

I may have some left over ham that I'll hide i the garden for any passing cats.

I’m up for ice skating in the garden now. Is there space for a rink and a sculpture?

Another chilly morning so today I'm doing a full English breakfast and of course you can have anything from the full English.

Florence is making morning rolls and Fernando has invented a breakfast cocktail, it has a hint of tabasco in it to warm you up but I suggest you don't drive today if you have one.
