The happy place cafe 2 - advent opening

Thanks to a couple of really nice PMs the cafe is reopening until and including Xmas.

For the regulars

The kitten bees are inside for winter, please watch out for them getting stuck in jam.

F and F seem to be slightly more than friends.

The water feature has become an ice rink.

To anyone new:

This virtual cafe is a covid free zone. There are a number of seats / sofas / wing back chairs.

It opened in the first lockdown, it is an escape from isolating, home ed, mask wearing. It is a happy place, it is the opposite of AIBU.

A different breakfast is served every day and sometime packing up to take to work.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Dogs and children are welcome. Babies can be handed over to regulars to give you a break and we also have cots for them to sleep.

Outside is a cat amusement area with catnip bush and toys.

Kitten bees are kittens the size of bees with wings and their tails can transform into tiny umbrellas.

Morning all

Sausage, beans and mushrooms for me please.

And a cocktail. I’m working today but with the shitty night’s sleep I’ve had, it will make things pleasantly fuzzy as opposed to just fuzzy.

Morning all.

Still a chill in the air so I'm making pancakes, pick a stuffing sweet or savoury.

Florence is making crapes and drop scones.

Federico is making a sort of crape suzette variation with the crapes - I think he's just making hot cocktails and pouring them over the crapes.

Morning all

Well in honour of @moglovesmincepies Florence has been baking mince pies overnight. Fernando is making a variety of hot chocolates (vanilla vodka is my favourite).

If you need something more savoury I'm making jaffles and panini.

It’s a toss up between M&S and Iceland for us @moglovesmincepies.

I can’t resist a home made mince pie, so I’ll nab one for elevenses. A ham and cheese panini will really hit that spot right now @sashh.

Not tried the Iceland ones @MinnieMountain I will grab a box later. Tesco did some apple and clementine pies last year that were delicious too. I do like the mr Kipling ones I love their pastry.

Morning all.

Florence has made some amazing cinnamon and honey buns, Fernando is making mate served in a gourd with a straw.

The kitten bees - well someone let them see the Rocky Horror Picture Show - they are attempting the timewarp with mixed success.

I love cinnamon rolls. I got a recipe from a poster on MN. Must make some more once the mince pie eating is over.

The kitten bees are so sweet. Nobody give them any sugar though...

@moglovesmincepies yes I was quite proud to get that one.

O it's sightly warmer today but I think we still need hot food. Lets go for a tour of Asia.

And yes, don't give the kitten bees pre sugar, you can give them flowers for them to get their own nectar.

Morning all.

I think it's about time we had eggs, boiled, poached, coddled, fried with bread, toast or asparagus (to dip in a boiled egg).

Florence is baking fresh bread and Fernando is making mulled wine / gluhwein.
