Rural area, mum nowhere to be seen, very cold and shivering so have bought them in to warm up.

Now what?!

So I found something in my shed this morning...

Love them and hug them and feed them up! Take them to the vets for a check up and for an age check. They look about 5 or 6 weeks to me but I am not an expert.

SockDrawer · 05/11/2020 10:11

I would call the vets or cats protection for some advice. Is the mama cat with them?

Missmonkeypenny · 05/11/2020 10:12

Rambling will I be able to get milk from the vet? I've had cats before but never this little! I was thinking around the same age, they've very alert

Oh sorry, I’ve just noticed you said the number wasn’t there. I need a coffee obviously!

Missmonkeypenny · 05/11/2020 10:12

Mama cat is not with them, she hasnt been seen!

Omg! Why does stuff like this never happen to me!

I'd get them vet checked and fed up and keep some food out for mum. See if you can capture her!

Are you in a position to keep them?

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 05/11/2020 10:13

I was going to say was it an old Korean lady? Wink Grin

But this is even better!! So lovely.

MillicentMartha · 05/11/2020 10:13

They aren't newborn, their eyes are open, but they are a bit young to be away from their mum. Kitten food, cat milk cartons, box with some soil in for litter and cat's protection league?

PinkPlantCase · 05/11/2020 10:13

Keep them and care for them or take them to a shelter? If you don’t find mum though you might have another litter in a few months time...

RUOKHon · 05/11/2020 10:14

Give them to me!!

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 05/11/2020 10:14

Mum could be out hunting so I’d keep an eye out in case she comes back.

Look at those beautiful blue eyes!

MillicentMartha · 05/11/2020 10:14

You can get cat milk cartons from the supermarket, and kitten food.

Dollywilde · 05/11/2020 10:18

@PinkPlantCase that’s how we got our boy.. friend of ours had a cat in their neighbourhood that kept birthing and dumping kittens at the end of their garden. They had to rehome 3 litters of kittens before they eventually caught mum (who they adopted, had spayed and she still lives sort of with them and sort of feral!)

No helpful advice OP but SO cute!

Missmonkeypenny · 05/11/2020 10:20

Holly no Korean lady Grin

I think ill take them to the vets for a check up and see if they can give me some milk as I'm sure the stuff in the shops is for older kittens rather than something they can be raised on but I could be wrong.

Not in a position to keep them all long term but able to look after them until they're big enough to go to loving homes. I can see the shed from our bedroom window so I will keep an eye out in case she comes back. As I said, we live rurally with a very fast A road running by so my worry would be that she comes back, tries to move them and they get hit by a car.

coronabore · 05/11/2020 10:22

I luvs them, I want one!Grin

MillicentMartha · 05/11/2020 10:24

In the meantime, some tuna (rinsed if in brine) or boiled/microwaved cod wouldn't hurt them if you don't have any cat food.

dublingirl66 · 05/11/2020 10:24

Oh my god innocent pets xxx

Branleuse · 05/11/2020 10:26

They look about 4 weeks?

Id keep an eye for the mother. She might be out hunting, but also she may have been killed. The kittens should be on solids now, so get them some kitten food and catmilk. I dont think theyll need bottle feeding

LondonJax · 05/11/2020 10:27

Oh bless them! Our cat was 'mama' cat in a similar situation - although she ended up birthing in a pen at the RSPCA.

I hope you find mum soon. She could probably do with a good feed.

rhowton · 05/11/2020 10:27

@LST omg! I am with you! I literally dream about this happening to me as my DH is against pets at the moment but if one just appeared I'd 100% be able to persuade him 😂

itchyfinger · 05/11/2020 10:28

Oh my god THE DREAM!

Keep em, cuddle em, feed em.

5zeds · 05/11/2020 10:28

You lucky sod! I would love to find kittens.

LongPauseNoAnswer · 05/11/2020 10:29

No advice beyond what everyone else has said, I just want to congratulate you on your two gorgeous new babies Grin

MrsVeryTired · 05/11/2020 10:29

I knew it would be kittens!
Off to check my own shed, more likely to find mice or rats (eeek!)

Very cute, and yes keep an eye out for Mum.

Weedsnseeds1 · 05/11/2020 10:29

You can buy Cimicat kitten formula at pets at home and other pet stores if you can't get a vet appointment straight away
