Hi everyone

Amazon Prime Day is up and running - albeit a few months later than originally planned.

If you’ve not heard of it before, Prime ‘Day’ (two days in reality) is when Amazon offers Prime members exclusive discounts on all sorts of products - from tech to toys and kitchenware to clothes.

We know that not everyone is a fan of Amazon, but if you’re on the hunt for bargains this is the thread for you! We’ve put some of our favourite deals in this post, and if you let us know if you’re on the lookout for anything, in particular, we’ll see what we can find for you - and let us know on the thread if you spy any stellar discounts!

And if you want even more great deals, sign up to our Money Saver email here.

Here’s our pick of the bunch so far. Don’t forget, Prime Day lasts throughout Wednesday too, so pop back tomorrow morning for brand new discounts.

Save £40 on the Kindle Paperwhite, now £79.99

Nintendo Switch Neon (Red/Blue) + BioShock: The Collection + Borderlands Legendary Collection £299.99, was £365.99

Allotment Month By Month: Grow your Own Fruit and Vegetables was £17.99, now £9.20)

Anker Wireless Headphones £15.99, was £25.99

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush £89.99, was £299.00

£40 off the Shark Cordless Handheld £89.99

Tarquin's Cornish The Seadog Navy Gin, 70 cl £29.90, was £41.60

Hauck Viper SLX Trio Set 3 Wheel Pushchair up to 25 kg + Group 0 Car Seat + Carrycot 59% off, now £142.95

30% off Lego including DUPLO, Technic, City and more

Philips Lumea Prestige IPL Cordless Hair Removal Device £299.99, was £475

Reishunger Digital Mini Rice Cooker and Steamer £72.99, was £149.99

Finish All-in-One Max Dishwasher Tablets, ORIGINAL, 110 Tablets £10.99, was £28

50% off VANKYO MatrixPad Z1 Kids Tablet now £39.99

You do need to be a Prime member to take part. Prime plans cost £79 for a year, or £7.99 a month. There's a 30-day free trial (sign up here) if you don’t want to commit to membership but want to take advantage of the great deals.

If you don’t want to pay for Prime after your free trial has ended, you can follow our handy guide on how to cancel Prime.

FYI, if you recommend deals on the thread, we might add a link into your post if we think it would be helpful to other users.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

PS If Prime Day’s not your cup of tea, don’t forget that Black Friday is just around the corner and we’re poised to bring you the best offers on the day. Make sure you check out our pages which will be rounding up the best deals on baby products and mattresses, and great offers from Boden, Lovehoney and Cottages.com.

I've just read the Which report on the handheld Shark and the battery only lasts ten minutes! No good for doing the car sadly

Tell me why I don't need 2.4k of celebrations, surely it's an essential item? Dh seems to think it'll be too much :-)

Springcatkin · 14/10/2020 08:59

Imagine how many Bounty will be left over ... Wink
Howcanwehelp · 14/10/2020 09:03

I love bounty bars, so no issues there.

middleager · 14/10/2020 09:05

On a related subject, I was miffed to see that the removal/reduction of some Quality Street classics is due to "Covid says no..."

(You can always rely on The Sun to be at the cutting edge of important news)Confused

I might need Celebrations instead!

diamond4u · 14/10/2020 10:53

@BouleBaker aww no! I managed to get one yesterday, I ordered during the morning, I only saw this thread last night when I commented!

Whatsnewpussyhat · 14/10/2020 11:21

Technically not a prime day deal but if anyone likes harry potter lego, the forbidden forest set (gawp) is reduced from £24.99 to £16.66.

Great saving and will arrive in time for xmas but not in stock for immediate dispatch.

Me too. I eat the bounties first
sugarbum · 14/10/2020 11:32

well I may have just bought the Celebrations. My 10 year old is having a pinata for his birthday this year so I figure these should fill it up good and proper! Its not a vast amount cheaper than buying atTesco though (650g for £4.)

Dovesandkisses · 14/10/2020 12:10

@shesyourlobster thanks for this.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 14/10/2020 13:18

I got my daughter a fit bit. Reduced to £38.99 from £69.99 and I paid £28.99 with my £10 voucher!

Runningdownthathill · 14/10/2020 13:24

Which one? I know nothing about them and wouldn’t know where to start!
