Hi everyone

Amazon Prime Day is up and running - albeit a few months later than originally planned.

If you’ve not heard of it before, Prime ‘Day’ (two days in reality) is when Amazon offers Prime members exclusive discounts on all sorts of products - from tech to toys and kitchenware to clothes.

We know that not everyone is a fan of Amazon, but if you’re on the hunt for bargains this is the thread for you! We’ve put some of our favourite deals in this post, and if you let us know if you’re on the lookout for anything, in particular, we’ll see what we can find for you - and let us know on the thread if you spy any stellar discounts!

And if you want even more great deals, sign up to our Money Saver email here.

Here’s our pick of the bunch so far. Don’t forget, Prime Day lasts throughout Wednesday too, so pop back tomorrow morning for brand new discounts.

Save £40 on the Kindle Paperwhite, now £79.99

Nintendo Switch Neon (Red/Blue) + BioShock: The Collection + Borderlands Legendary Collection £299.99, was £365.99

Anker Wireless Headphones £15.99, was £25.99

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush £89.99, was £299.00

£40 off the Shark Cordless Handheld £89.99

Tarquin's Cornish The Seadog Navy Gin, 70 cl £29.90, was £41.60

Hauck Viper SLX Trio Set 3 Wheel Pushchair up to 25 kg + Group 0 Car Seat + Carrycot 59% off, now £142.95

Philips Lumea Prestige IPL Cordless Hair Removal Device £299.99, was £475

Reishunger Digital Mini Rice Cooker and Steamer £72.99, was £149.99

Finish All-in-One Max Dishwasher Tablets, ORIGINAL, 110 Tablets £10.99, was £28

50% off VANKYO MatrixPad Z1 Kids Tablet now £39.99

You do need to be a Prime member to take part. Prime plans cost £79 for a year, or £7.99 a month. There's a 30-day free trial (sign up here) if you don’t want to commit to membership but want to take advantage of the great deals.

If you don’t want to pay for Prime after your free trial has ended, you can follow our handy guide on how to cancel Prime.

FYI, if you recommend deals on the thread, we might add a link into your post if we think it would be helpful to other users.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

PS If Prime Day’s not your cup of tea, don’t forget that Black Friday is just around the corner and we’re poised to bring you the best offers on the day. Make sure you check out our pages which will be rounding up the best deals on baby products and mattresses, and great offers from Boden, Lovehoney and Cottages.com.

Where is the voucher?

espressoontap · 13/10/2020 11:46

This is fab - thank you!

spiderlight · 13/10/2020 11:48

@Horehound - you have to have spent £10 on small businesses through Amazon Marketplace within certain dates to get it, I think.
@stylishmummy I can't see any Sylvanians sets (families) under a tenner. I've just seen the otters and hedgehog families reduced but over a tenner. Have you seen anything else? Thanks v much
I think they've sold out already. I looked this morning and saw them but decided to wait a bit to order, wish I didn't now!

MillieVanilla · 13/10/2020 11:49

Haven't spotted any Attack on Titan, Yu-Gi-Oh or My Hero Academia stuff but if any has let me know

Horehound · 13/10/2020 11:50

Ah I see, thanks @spiderlight!

BettyMumsnet · 13/10/2020 11:50

Glad you're all enjoying the thread! Great that the headphones were suitable @Howcanwehelp and @spiderlight. And @Tairbear you're most welcome Grin

@OhioOhioOhio No milk frothers that we can see - sorry! There is this Breville All-in-One coffee machine that comes with a frother though.

Am eyeing up robot vacuums. DH has been resistant for years, but there's a highly rated one for £119.....

SweetPeaPods · 13/10/2020 11:55

Fantastic price on some gins and whiskeys

BettyMumsnet · 13/10/2020 11:55

Hey @CodenameApollo

That's a bit odd! I just did the same and it's giving me a basket total of £21.98 as expected.

I really need a heated blanket. Not the sort you out under the bedsheet. Just the sort you use on top of you while sat in a freezing room trying to work. Failing that heated foot pad or slippers!

Rockmeamaryllis · 13/10/2020 12:12

Do they announced discounts at certain times; or do I have to keep checking every hour or so?

BettyMumsnet · 13/10/2020 12:12

Hi @Hotwaterbottlelove

How about this Silentnight Easi Heat Microfleece Electric Blanket?

OP posts:
Hotwaterbottlelove · 13/10/2020 12:20

Sadly that's one that goes under the bedsheet. No good.

@felineflutter what tb did you go for? I'm pondering about buying a new one.

Also looking at the shark pet upright vacuum cleaner...anyone have one? It's the corded one

CoffeeNights · 13/10/2020 12:59

Lurking for xmas ideas

Ive bought an Echo Dot - never owned one before - can you tell me why I might need more? Don't want to miss out!

Also considering the screen version as I have a Ring doorbell. I think it's called the Echo Show 5. Any good?

You need to search 'heated throw' rather than blanket. I can't see any with Prime Day offers on though.

I do like this
heated throw with sleeves

carolebaskinfedhimtothetigers · 13/10/2020 13:25

@VictoriaBun

Have always been happy with my corded Sebo vacuum but have hankered for the ease of a quick swoop with a cordless. Just got the Shark anti hair wrap pet one on Prime and also the Babyliss Big Hair dual brush for £32.99 instead of ( alleged £60, lol I'm a bit of a sceptic when it comes to bargain days )
I've now ordered a babyliss big hair thanks for the heads up! Always wanted to try one but never got round to buying one so thought I may as well treat myself.
felineflutter · 13/10/2020 13:33

@middleager I have bought ones for DC's bedrooms the are great speakers. The only thing I just found out is that it will cost me £14.99 per month for Amazon Music Unlimited! It seems Prime covers one device and you then can't then buy 2 single device subscriptions at £3.99 per month.

Littleelffriend · 13/10/2020 13:33

@RealityExistsInTheHumanMind thanks for that looks great
