If you're planning on getting it - have you had yours?

Just had mine this morning and glad to have it done and out of the way! I'm not in the UK, but the nurse was saying that uptake has been huge this year and they ran out on a couple of days last month.

Tomorrow.

I usually get it at my doctors surgery, but have moved and haven't heard anything from my new medical practice, so I booked in with a pharmacy instead. Taking no chances this year.

ExtenuatingCircumstances · 06/10/2020 15:20

Yes, couple of weeks ago. I’m asthmatic so am offered one every year.

Ghostlyglow · 06/10/2020 15:21

Got it next week at Boots. Free via work (nhs)

Ffsnosexallowed · 06/10/2020 15:21

Redcups64 · 06/10/2020 15:22

Our gp has run out until the end of the month so not had mine yet

onetwothreeadventure · 06/10/2020 15:22

I got it last week. I rang the pharmacy to make an appointment for this Friday and they told me to come in that day as they were almost out of vaccines.

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 06/10/2020 15:23

Yes, me and DH had ours at the weekend

GinnieHempstock · 06/10/2020 15:23

Yes, I’m a HCP so had mine a couple of weeks ago. I’ve noticed that those of my colleagues who are usually a bit reticent about having it have been keen this year. I agree with the PP, the uptake will be much higher than usual this year. Shame it took a worldwide pandemic though.

Pickypolly · 06/10/2020 15:25

Yep.
Why would you not!

earthtopluto · 06/10/2020 15:25

Had mine last week. Not in an at risk category but work have paid for us all to have them.

FluffyPJs · 06/10/2020 15:27

I've got mine booked for Sunday at Boots. Not sure if I can go and have it yet as am currently waiting for my sons COVID test results. I really hope I can go!

AlpineSnow · 06/10/2020 15:27

Had it done at boots. Don't usually have it.

Wilma55 · 06/10/2020 15:27

Yes at pharmacy, I'm over 65

KitKatastrophe · 06/10/2020 15:28

I asked my GP about it. I usually get one for my asthma. They said they're contacting people in reverse age order so to wait a while. That was s few weeks ago though and I havent heard anything yet.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 06/10/2020 15:29

Yes at the GP a week or two ago. And DH got his done last week at the pharmacy.

mrsjg · 06/10/2020 15:29

I'm booked in for the 19th. I get mine free due to being asthmatic and am thinking about getting dh one, but he'd have to pay.

Annabanana455 · 06/10/2020 15:30

DD had hers already
Me and DH booked in for mid-October

HermioneWeasley · 06/10/2020 15:32

Yes, a few days ago. I’m feeling really shit afterwards. Not in itself uncommon for 48 hours but still feel exhausted and achy

SentientAndCognisant · 06/10/2020 15:34

Yes, last week via work

planplan · 06/10/2020 15:34

Yes on Saturday and my arm is still sore!!

Toddlerteaplease · 06/10/2020 15:45

Yes. Had mine this morning and got. Two stickers and a free meal deal from the shop at work. Fully signed off as a peer vaccinator do all my colleagues can have theirs

doctorhamster · 06/10/2020 15:46

I haven't been able to get one even though I'm asthmatic. Local pharmacies are only doing 65+ and GP surgery have said I'll need to wait (no indication of how long for)
