Have you had a flu shot yet?

If you're planning on getting it - have you had yours?

Just had mine this morning and glad to have it done and out of the way! I'm not in the UK, but the nurse was saying that uptake has been huge this year and they ran out on a couple of days last month.

Yes had it yesterday. H had his today.

rainatnightlove · 06/10/2020 18:12

Mines on Thursday. I have it each year :)

AgeLikeWine · 06/10/2020 18:15

I had mine on Saturday at the GP surgery. It was organised like a military operation! I obv had a slight reaction because I felt crap yesterday, but I feel fine again now. Smile

JamieLeeCurtains · 06/10/2020 18:19

Yikes. Sounds like I'm in a lottery that I'm not winning.

Londonnight · 06/10/2020 18:20

Had mine at Boots on Saturday, not even a sore arm this year :)

NeurotrashWarrior · 06/10/2020 18:24

Yes. Friday, no sore arm but been feeling ropey and stiff necked on and off since.

I had bad side effects last year after never having any. This year isn't as bad as that thankfully.

@BestOption

In fact I have a fun filled week Breast screening today Cervical Smear tomorrow Flu jab Saturday 🤦🏻‍♀️
I was feeling a bit sorry for myself having had a flu shot, allergy shot and migraine shot all in 3 days, but your week sounds worse. Good luck with it all!
AbsentmindedWoman · 06/10/2020 18:40

Impressed at how they’re handling the large numbers while keeping distanced and Covid safe. It was done army style - 5 patients marched in a line to the waiting room, 3 feet apart, all with one sleeve rolled up. 5 doctors standing spaced round the room with a syringe each, banged in the five shots simultaneously, patients marched out the back door as five more marched in the front!

@Babdoc this made my day! Such efficiency is soothing to read about.

Y'all who got a sore arm, I think that's supposed to be a good sign that your body is mounting a decent immune response!

Yes I had mine a couple of weeks ago with my vulnerable Mum and we took our elderly neighbour to have hers as well. Our brilliant local chemist are running Sunday morning clinics purely for flu jabs.

user985230 · 06/10/2020 18:46

Yes had mine last week with GP

AbsentmindedWoman · 06/10/2020 18:47

Starting to feel very tired and a bit crap. Poked my arm experimentally and it's not sore though.

Had my NHS one last week through boots (couldn't make GP clinics), parents had theirs the week before at the doctors.

Coldwinterahead1 · 06/10/2020 18:49

Yes £14 bargain !

I felt tired/crappy for a few days after mine
onedayallthiswillbeyours · 06/10/2020 19:31

Had mine at my place of work yesterday (NHS), feel absolutely fine - arm itched like crazy last year, but can't even feel where the needle went in this year! DD had her sniffer one at school today.

Longdistance · 06/10/2020 19:34

I got mine yesterday through my work as they offered it. I’m glad I had it done as I can’t be bothered to go to my GP surgery and through the rigmarole of, ‘yes I have asthma’, ‘oh, we can fit you in in January’.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/10/2020 19:37

Last Friday. As usual feel fine.

Nacreous · 06/10/2020 19:43

Had mine today. Possibly coincidence but was totally wiped out by 17:00 and ended up dozing off a bit fitfully. Arm is fine if I don't move it but hurts like billy-o if I do. Had meant to go swimming today, think I will put it off til tomorrow.

MitziK · 06/10/2020 19:43

Saturday before last. I called the GP on Wednesday afternoon as I hadn't been able to get one at the pharmacist (usually have it the first week of term). She said 'oh yes, you're on our vulnerable list - how about I add you onto this weekend's list?'. Online, it had said FULL, so I guess they held some slots back.

LondonPainter · 06/10/2020 19:43

Yes, at the GP last month due to type 1 diabetes. No side effects

NoRoomInBed · 06/10/2020 19:43

Getting mine in half an hour 😊

m0therofdragons · 06/10/2020 19:45

Yes, last Monday at work - NHS.

AnnaMagnani · 06/10/2020 19:45

Yes, 2nd weekend the GP was doing it. Military efficiency in the clinic.

Arm felt like it would fall off for 24 hours though.

Rockbird · 06/10/2020 19:48

Next week at the GP. I hope!

LIZS · 06/10/2020 19:53

Our surgery is not yet doing under 65s , even those with health conditions apparently Hmm
