A strange cat has just climbed into my bedroom

I'm in bed happily reading my book and a cat has just climbed through the window and settled down on my feet.
Neither of our neighbours have a cat. I have no idea where it's from.
It's a very pretty cat so I think I will let it stay, at least until dh comes up and throws it out.

I'm not sure your photo posted?

How lovely! Keep it Grin
Joking
Sort of Wink

How exciting! Oh to be a cat, and just go where you want Grin

This happened to DH 7 years ago. The cat is called Puss (Hmm), has to get regular haircuts cos she's rubbish at grooming herself and hides inside the sofa for Fireworks Night.

Enjoy your new cat Grin

Myhoodieslongerthanyours · 05/10/2020 21:12

Congratulations on your new cat! 💐🐈

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 05/10/2020 21:13

Puss. This is her sulking after MIL picked her up from the cattery after a weekend away.

Where's your photo OP?!

The cat chose you, OP. Accept that. It's a privilege. ❤️

QuimReaper · 05/10/2020 21:18

Where are you that it's warm enough to have your window open?!

QueenOllie · 05/10/2020 21:18

Fairly standard at mine. I get out the shower and my cat has brought his mate home. Having a bath and one wandered in and put its paws up on the bath

Jjacobb · 05/10/2020 21:19

There you are. I'm trying to make it turn round so I can take a better picture but it is not listening.
This is why I love cats they have such a "fuck you" attitude. I mean my house, my bed but it won't even acknowledge me 😂

We also get a visiting cat but that's because we have a hamster. Last time I caught it it had just knocked the tube off the hamster's cage! I think she's more curious than anything because the crash scared her and she ran away.

Jjacobb · 05/10/2020 21:21

Quimreaper, window stays open all year. I can't sleep otherwise.

How rude to post with no photo. I demand a photo of the cat immediately. Anyone's, not just OP's, I'm not fussy.

@SeasonallySnowyPeasant thanks, you've got the right idea!

Jjacobb · 05/10/2020 21:23

We have a four month old Border Collie so cat may decide to leave. Although this is clearly a cat with attitude so will probably not care a jot.

If a strange cat visits you it is the law to share a photo on MN.

Kakiweewee · 05/10/2020 21:25

You post about cats, you pay the cat tax.

PurplePansy05 · 05/10/2020 21:25

Uhm, we have one too. And more than one cat 😂 They're splendid together, just saying.

KatherineJaneway · 05/10/2020 21:25

@QueenOllie

That second photo is so cat 🐈 Righteous indignation

Namechangeme87 · 05/10/2020 21:25

@TheSpottedZebra right ?!

Loving the other cute cat photos though !

I’d love this to happen to me 🥰

PurplePansy05 · 05/10/2020 21:26

(I meant the BC) 😊

QueenOllie · 05/10/2020 21:27

@KatherineJaneway he loves if I'm watching a horror film to sneak up and bang on the window. My cat is HmmHmm "mama, PAWS is here again"

LST · 05/10/2020 21:27

This is totally something my ginger tom would do (and probably does)

I would love to be a cat

Yes, no lockdown for them!
QueenOllie · 05/10/2020 21:29

They take over your furniture eventually too. It's been 18 months of me telling him he doesn't live here. He's been in three times today
