I’ve been lounging in bed with the kids watching tv since 5pm. Blissfully reading my book & online mooching and trying to avoid reading any news as it’s just depressing me today.

I'm watching John Wick as it's just started on Channel 5. I've never seen it before and I do like a bit of Keanu.

I have a blissfully empty house today and nothing urgent that needs doing housework doesn't count so am contemplating whether to spend the day binge watching box sets, baking or reading

Prokup That's interesting about the faces. I think DS can recognise faces but he's in a world of his own and seems to notice animals more than people. If they have numbered people he would have known the entire seating plan.

I have labelled 47 separate items of school uniform and kit so far. At least. I may have missed a couple out.

I just had a mild moment of panic when I realised that my new slippers didn’t have labels in them, before I remembered that I don’t have to label everything I own

My jaw is back to normal, I'm waiting for the kettle to boil the water for cleaning the kitchen. DS is up already (which is exciting I admit)

Our online shop arrived. I forgot lots of things. DH currently giving me side eye & muttering about having to go out to get them later.

I have a week off now and had a lovely long lie in, dp made a pot of coffee and offered to do the shopping if I wrote him a list. He's just come back and has actually used a bit of initiative and got some nice bits in.

The plumber has just been and said that we do actually have space for the type of shower we wanted and showed me some of the bathrooms he's done recently on his phone. He can't start until the first week of December but I wonder if that might be a good sign.

I put my new bedding on my bed last night and it's very pleasing. It's got foxes, deer and rabbits on it. I washed and dried it on the line first too so it smells lovely.

Mil is popping down later with some dining table chairs that she doesn't want but are in good condition and will go well with our table. Our current ones have fabric seats which can't be removed to clean so are a bit grim now after the weaning years. She's bringing my birthday card too because it's my birthday tomorrow.

I need to get a birthday card for my friend, but I’m not dressed yet.

DH has gone to get the stuff for steak baguettes for dinner after I forgot to put it on the food shop that was delivered in the week.

I’ve been for a run, and my foot hurts. I think I might have to go and see a physio - ever since I sprained my ankle I’ve had nothing but niggles and gripes from both legs

When I checked my emails, I found the ‘items unavailable’ email from the supermarket about today’s delivery. I hadn’t forgotten them at all.

Packing for a short trip I've had booked for ages and feeling a bit anxious about travelling. Its only about 80 miles away but with everything that's going on I'm definitely twitchy.

Just finished paying the thatcher for the thatched roof. Just woke up though think I may go back to sleep.

I have spent the morning running around doing chores, I am now drinking a Greggs coffee in the car before my next stop.

I’m wearing one of the new woolly jumpers I bought on eBay last month (new to me). And fluffy socks. I’m pretty sure I was wearing a summer dress at the start of the week!

It’s a bit itchy. I might have to try and add some kind of liner to the inside of the neck or something.

I had my flu jab an hour ago. I think it took approximately 4 minutes from walking in the car park entrance at the practice to sanitise, get stabbed and be ushered back out the front door.

I was quite impressed, even if it did rather remind me of working with livestock.

Got my fancy-schmancy biologics to inject this evening. They aren't so pleasant or painfree.

Last night I put my summer duvet away and slept under my cosy winter duvet

I have just shared a KitKat with DH. Ah, love .

Just looking at pics of frizzle chickens with chicken obsessed DS. We have 3 silkie chickens and DH is meant to be putting up their new house and run this afternoon.

@KoalasandRabbit my (teen) ds has trained the youngest hen who was born this year to sit on his arm like a falcon. She likes sitting on his lap while he's gaming on the PC watching the screen while they companionably eat snacks
