Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

I had a cinnamon bun earlier. It was so good I had another one.

tootyfruitypickle · 24/09/2020 17:33

I cleaned the glass of my log burner today. At the weekend I built my log store and put all my wood into it.

I might light a fire one day soon

HeronLanyon · 24/09/2020 18:05

If the fire gets fierce enough mine sometimes kind of cleans itself. Depends on wind conditions also. This a log burner in gale force coastal area. Can make huge difference to soot on glass.
Mulling over what to have for dinner. Not sure I can be bothered with much cooking tonight.

Spudlet · 24/09/2020 18:17

DH has just conceded that we may have a fire tonight. I am chilly.

Since the weather looks bloody horrible tomorrow, I shall be driving to school instead of cycling, then going to buy some warm slippers when I do a top-up shop (we urgently need bananas, they’re about the only fruit ds eats). I will also be buying another bike light, to up the Christmas tree effect.

Spudlet · 24/09/2020 18:19

I’ve also realised that I have PMT, which is probably why I shouted ‘wanker!’ at someone who did a dodgy overtake of us this morning. Although I do get pretty cross generally with anyone who puts my boy at risk 😬

Lazysundayafternoons · 24/09/2020 18:31

I lit the stove around 1oclock today (I'm WFH). Its gone out now though. I can see myself being very tired this winter with not leaving the house to go out for work.

Imissmoominmama · 24/09/2020 18:36

I’m having a mushroom omelette for tea (I’m northern).

tootyfruitypickle · 24/09/2020 18:54

I also filled up the bird feeder today. It goes from half full to nothing overnight , I can’t work out how .

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 24/09/2020 18:58

Guess what I have been doing - yep, overtime again.
Fills up my time account nicely.

I'll do nothing productive this evening, aprt from my vocab. and looking for chocolate.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 24/09/2020 18:59

Do you have nocturnal squirrels?

Jemimatheragdoll · 24/09/2020 19:21

I've not been on this thread for over a week so have just caught up with everyone's dull & uneventful lives - which in fact is most interesting & strangely entertaining.

The most exciting thing I've done today is install the NHS Track & Trace appHmm

soddingkitten · 24/09/2020 19:23

Sodding Kitten went on hunger strike today. DS put a cheap kitten pouch down this morning, which is untouched. SK was so annoying this afternoon I gave him a Blink pouch (posh). He stopped hassling me and wolfed it down, but I feel so manipulated.

FawnDrench · 24/09/2020 19:24

It's nearly dark here.

I shall be making another cup of tea quite soon.

The clothes I hung out earlier managed to dry very well indeed, despite a couple of squally showers, which I totally ignored.

PenguinsOnParade · 24/09/2020 19:37

DD has informed me that she doesn't like the Dairylea dunkers I bought for her lunchbox. They're the jumbo tubes ones which IMO are the best ones so I'm more than happy to relieve her of them and try to remember it's the Ritz cracker ones she prefers next time (would it be terrible of me to forget or buy one of each "just in case"?)

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 24/09/2020 19:44

There is a biting insect flying around me at the moment. i do not mind the bites (at least not in this region) but I do mind the infernally loud noise they make while they go about it.
There is one in the bedroom as well, woke me up at 5.

SallySeven · 24/09/2020 19:48

I've been promised a cup of tea.

Small kindnesses make the world go round.

( Unfortunately the offerer seems to have had a memory lapse and I'm deciding whether to remind them.)

Nomnomarrgh · 24/09/2020 19:49

I woke up singing “this little light of mine”. Tried to sing it in a cathedral I visited today and ended up singing “you are my sunshine”.

buttonup26 · 24/09/2020 19:56

My dog has just eaten a rabbit's ear given to her by my friend

Champagneforeveryone · 24/09/2020 20:38

I'm about to go to work. I have not slept enough and I am furious about it.

goose1964 · 24/09/2020 20:42

My slippers and glass nail file arrived.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 24/09/2020 21:11

I bought a book and a magazine today in WHSmith. I'm going to go to bed soon to make a start on them.

AnneBoleynsHead · 24/09/2020 21:30

I managed to offload a very large unused (very old) shelving unit at work to a client with a woodburner. Very pleased.

cheeseychovolate · 24/09/2020 21:54

My husband is playing on his xbox and talking so loud, it's annoying me as I can hear him in the bedroom

Taswama · 24/09/2020 22:07

Tried to go out for lunch today. Got there to discover it was fully booked.

SpeedofaSloth · 24/09/2020 22:09

@Knittedfairies are you using a pattern or making up your own? I would like to make my own hot water bottle a jumper, I think.
