Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

Grr posted too soon.

Speaking of car parks and waiting, I actually wrote most of the last chapter while sitting in my car, waiting for my dad to come out of his appointment 😂😂😂

I’ve written a shopping list ahead of the Aldi shop tomorrow. Nothing particularly exciting on it.

I’ve finished a really good book but have another one lined up (phew!)

Bouledeneige · 23/09/2020 22:28

Looking at how life is now I guess this isn't that dull. But this evening I went on my own to the cinema and saw a film, had a slice of pizza and a glass of wine. Like the old life but different.

BillywigSting · 23/09/2020 23:52

I have finally managed to get my dm off the phone.

I have to be up in 6 hours. Ffs. I predict that tomorrow is going to be wholly awful.

Frownette · 24/09/2020 00:15

Oh it's a nightmare getting people off the phone sometimes! Hopefully you'll get a few hours sleep.

I've done my friend duties for today, text conversation with old friend whom I love very much (met her about 20 years ago), and phone call with friend, he said oh last time I went to hospital, afterwards I met a young lady who looked stunning without makeup. I said "oh did you?" I picked him up from hospital and appreciate the lie, it made me laugh. I was quite cross with him at the time as I said meet me at A&E but he was faffing around in a different part of the complex and I barked A&E on the phone after trampling around a yard and some corridors.

Only reason I say duty is that I've got a bug of some sort and it's difficult to maintain contact at the moment!

Spudlet · 24/09/2020 06:57

I woke up really early and ended up job hunting on my phone in bed. Can’t find anything to apply for though.

Champagneforeveryone · 24/09/2020 09:35

It was much colder this morning when I walked DDog2.

I wore my down gilet.

SallySeven · 24/09/2020 09:58

I went back to reading poetry while waiting at activities. Or writing and addressing birthday cards was my other thing! The timings felt too bitty for me to focus on a book, let alone study!

SallySeven · 24/09/2020 10:00

I have one of the children at home and we have decided it's cold enough to put the heating on for the morning.

I have to do some work now but am procrastinating..

FawnDrench · 24/09/2020 11:04

I am going to hang out the washing despite the weather forecast.

I have filled up the bird seed dispensers in the garden.

I have nothing else to contribute at this time.

QuestionableMouse · 24/09/2020 11:19

I've just put the heating on.

QuestionableMouse · 24/09/2020 11:40

My amazon delivery is two stops away. Yay.

sueelleker · 24/09/2020 11:53

The other day, it said my delivery was 7 stops away;then they rang the doorbell!

PenguinsOnParade · 24/09/2020 12:48

I bought salad cream for the first time in years and have taken myself back to my childhood with a cheese and salad cream sandwich for lunch.

QuestionableMouse · 24/09/2020 12:58

@sueelleker

Ooh that's excellent!

Mine seemed to take ages to arrive via those two stops but it's here now.

Unlike the sodding Superdrug order I made on the 18th which still hasn't arrived. 3-5 days delivery, my arse. It took them two days to pack the flaming order. Angry

Spudlet · 24/09/2020 15:15

DS’s school uniform finally arrived - I ordered it on August the 1st! Just waiting for his official PE kit and then we are finally done. I think.

His school photos are also ready, and he looks hilarious. He hardly ever smiles for posed photos, and with the traditional crossed arms pose, he looks like the smallest member of Der Management. 🤣

QuestionableMouse · 24/09/2020 15:56

My next door neighbour is having an afternoon nap.

I know this because I'm trying to work at my desk and all I can hear is snoring. The bitch in me feels like banging on the wall.

OublietteBravo · 24/09/2020 16:07

I have registered for an online course in November. This will give me the final 4 hours of CPD I need for 2020.

boatyardblues · 24/09/2020 16:34

Thank you to the dull news person who unveiled the glory of eggs and Marmite. DH and I had cheesy bread toasted and buttered with Marmite and scrambled eggs for lunch. It was epic. DH finished his saying: “that was so good I could eat it all over again.”

There are noisy builders next door today. At one point my desk was vibrating and I’m a room away from the party wall. My productivity has dipped due to the constant racket. I have lots to do, so this is bad.

Knittedfairies · 24/09/2020 16:37

I am about to cast on stitches to knit a jumper for my nice new hot water bottle.

redlockscelt · 24/09/2020 16:44

I just yawned.

Imissmoominmama · 24/09/2020 16:51

I ate some of DH’s pringles because I was bored. I don’t even particularly like them.

WouldBeGood · 24/09/2020 16:52

I’m watching my new bamboo plants wave in the wind from the comfort of my living room, small dog on my knee.

bettsbattenburg · 24/09/2020 16:52

The hail that fell two hours ago has still not melted.

Lazysundayafternoons · 24/09/2020 17:01

My 1 yo has decided he will not eat anything today 🤦‍♀️
