Been to visit a friend nearby.

Then came home.

Had lunch, now looking forward to tea and scones a bit later.

Was going to have pate and crackers for lunch then DH reminded me there was still some of the gorgeous soup he made for last night's dinner left. So had that instead. So warming on a chilly autumn day.

While waiting for the plumber, I wrote my Christmas cards.

Saw DS (ASD and 13) got an e-mail from art teacher as they are trying to find out who sits next to who for covid. It asked him who sits next to him, behind and infront. He said he had no idea of their names but one was called Molly but he wasnt sure which Molly. Then he said but what about who sits to the side of me? Who's that I said. Another nameless person said DS.

Just ate one half bowl of cereal so far today as still feeling sick. Had another antibiotic. Kids now back from school and another 20 kids have been told to isolate, they forgot school bus before.

I’ve got the fire going. I nearly blew away just walking over the garage for kindling!

I thought I might be getting ill. But it turns out the reason I’m feeling hot and tired is because DH has turned the heating on and set the temperature to totally tropical.

I have another f’ing cold sore - but this one is on a part of the lip I’ve never had one before.

I’m freezing, have the heating on but twat dog keeps insisting on going out, he loves smelling the wind. It’s incredibly windy here today.

My MIL is coming tomorrow, I’m really excited I love her, she’s an amazing lady.

I broke a nail.

I ordered a new mop today,

DS is on the spectrum, too. And he never learned the names of his classmates. We then found out that he could not recognize faces. They are just a collection of body parts to him. After that he told new mates in advance that he doesn't and things got easier - they wore name tags for him.

Back from the dentist and from work. No pain apart from the discomfort of having my jaws pulled in all directions. (And no out of the ordinary protective gear)

I am coming down with whatever lurgy dp and ds had last week.

I only got about half of my jobs done, but I really really need to clean my floors (because they are gross) and my bathroom (because there is a plumber coming tomorrow to quote for a new bathroom. Bathroom is tiny and quotes so far all seem exorbitantly expensive )

I'm waiting for dp to get home with Chinese.
I am so hungry.

Tired. Want to escape and hide somewhere from all these phone calls. Judge, social services about family member.

Friend gave me a PDF skirt pattern. So much sellotape to stick it together! (It's full length Victorian).

I just registered for an online event the Chinese department of one of our unis holds. Aboout calligraphy, intro to the language etc.
So my Saturday afternoon will hopefully be nice.

DH plans salad for tomorrow and Schnitzel.

DC activities cancelled this evening, I can sit on the sofa and watch telly instead.

I could murder a cheese toastie but alas I am stuck with leftover shepherds pie. Ds ate ages ago and dp isn't hungry. I was going to do a vegetable with it but I don't know if I can bothered now.

I let my dm read my story and she likes it, but she has to say that so I'm still not convinced it's very good.

I haven't bought mine yet. Although I was eyeing up some and added them to my amazon basket, so I'm not totally unaware Xmas is approaching.

Decided to go for a swim after work today rather than taking the scenic way home on my bike.

I had to work late today so DH made dinner. It was really tasty.

The fresh pesto DH used was 6 days past its eat by date, but we both had a taste first and it seemed fine. If it gives us all food poisoning I have a boxset on stand-by. I’m less bothered since COVID: its not like we have any plans that’ll be ruined by having to stay home.

The specialist shop I stopped off at on my way home is on reduced opening hours. It closed 4 minutes before I got there. 😞 I will have to make a special trip out tomorrow instead.

I'm on another night shift and have just had a very pleasing shower.

About to have a hot bath!

I have just had banana custard. Living the dream, in my pjs, on a Friday night.

I am wishing we had lit the woodstove earlier on when DH suggested it.
