Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

I went to bed at 2100 tonight, so I could tat about on my phone for a bit.

DS is in Y7 and is getting to grips with RE, so I downloaded a Kindle bible for looking bits up for homework. I am reading Genesis, I had forgotten just how plain nuts it is. Quite entertaining.

Knittedfairies · 24/09/2020 23:06
@Knittedfairies are you using a pattern or making up your own? I would like to make my own hot water bottle a jumper, I think.
@SpeedofaSloth I'm sort of making it up as I go along, but based on a free pattern for the right number of stitches.

KoalasandRabbit · 25/09/2020 01:59

I have a kidney infection and can't sleep. I'm going to watch below deck med.

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 25/09/2020 02:27

Gentle hug to you @KoalasandRabbit. I'm awake with pain and nausea. I'm on here trying to distract

My non exciting news I cut my toenails but I think I cut my right big toe too short cos it's hurting when it touches something

KoalasandRabbit · 25/09/2020 03:08

Thanks frogs - hope you feel better soon. In more exciting news I've just placed a Sainsburys order which includes a dust pan and brush so I can sweep up the trail of hay DS has left.

Frownette · 25/09/2020 03:19

I used tights today for the first time this season. I sat down with my lingerie bag and had to have a good rootle around to find a pair.

My mother made me a velvet bag embrossed with 'lingerie' when I was a teenager and I keep all underwear/tights in there.

It's starting to get chilly, isn't it?

jessstan2 · 25/09/2020 04:20

Both my feet hurt earlier, do you think I have Cvd-19?

mathanxiety · 25/09/2020 05:01

Having a late September warm spell here and the dratted mosquitoes are back.

Nicolastuffedone · 25/09/2020 05:53

It’s almost 6am.....I’m just wondering if I should get up for a cup of tea....I think I will

HelenaJustina · 25/09/2020 06:34

I woke up at 20 to 6. 20 minutes before the alarm. This will not make me 20 minutes ahead for the rest of the morning - even though I leave the house at 7.15 in a scramble.

Spudlet · 25/09/2020 07:30

Absolutely tipping it down this morning - we don’t need a bike to go to school, we need a boat. (We’re going in the car - there’s keen, then there’s bonkers).

tootyfruitypickle · 25/09/2020 07:31

Woke up and had a happy jig when I realised I had no reason to leave the house today.

tootyfruitypickle · 25/09/2020 07:31

Sorry that wasn't an ideal post following the one above - not being smug !

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 25/09/2020 08:16

Stormy rain here , too. I need to leave for the dentist at 11:20 to get an upper molar filled. They think they can save the tooth.

After that I have to go into the office.

BillywigSting · 25/09/2020 08:18

I put my heating on this morning too for a few minutes. It was 14 degrees in the kitchen which is just a bit too chilly for comfort.
I'm also going to hang my washing on line because despite it being cold there isn't a cloud in the sky here (sorry to pp with rubbish weather, I'm in the north so no doubt will get my fill of it).

Have a to do list as long as my arm as the house is a tip and I want it spotless for the weekend. Proper cleaning skirting boards and washing windows clean.

Promised I'd take ds to the park next to the school with his friend after school if the weather stays nice. I'll bring snacks.

Yesterday was not as dreadful as I was anticipating, we were somehow miraculously over staffed. It was quite lovely.

Taswama · 25/09/2020 08:26

It looks like it will be dry today. Am going out for lunch with a couple of colleagues, which I'm really looking forward to.

sueelleker · 25/09/2020 08:28

@goose1964. I glanced at your post and read it as glass slippers!
I'm waiting for the plumber. My kitchen tap starting running very slowly during lockdown, and I've been putting off getting it fixed; but I can't stand it any more.

CarnageAtTheGardenCentre · 25/09/2020 08:45

I’ve ordered some knickers from Amazon.
I normally buy them from M&S, but I can’t be bothered going out.
I can’t wait.....

PenguinsOnParade · 25/09/2020 09:10

I didn't sleep well last night and woke up early with period cramps. Wasn't due on until tomorrow and I can tell it's going to be a horrible one as I'm craving chocolate which I never normally do.

Allington · 25/09/2020 10:50

Oooh, buying knickers on-line. That's a good idea. I've been putting it off because I can't be bothered to go out...

In other news, DDog got bored with me ignoring her when I was in a Zoom meeting, so dug a big hole in the garden. I saw her doing it but she was having so much fun I didn't stop her.

Come and tell me your dull and unexciting news 3: The saga continues
CMOTDibbler · 25/09/2020 11:20

One of my dogs likes digging too, and then the chickens like dust bathing in the holes, so I don't have the heart to fill them in.

I've just ordered a lovely halloween hamper of food from a local bakery.

Spudlet · 25/09/2020 11:44

Just got back from a very wet, windy and annoying errands running trip. Put my new fluffy slippers on, walked into the kitchen to make a well-earned coffee - and there’s DS’s packed lunch leering at me from the worktop. 🙈

It’s been that sort of a morning.

QuestionableMouse · 25/09/2020 11:51

I've been to Redcar to drop off a table I sold on Facebook. The lady was absolutely thrilled with it and the money is going into my nephews' Christmas fund. Took a bit longer than I expected because the rain was hammering down with horrible gusty wind.

I'm now home with a bowl of rice pudding and a cup of coffee. Have to go out again later to pick my nephew up from school and I'm not looking forward to it.

Also my manky toe nail has fallen off which was nice to find when I woke up this morning Envy

Lonelycrab · 25/09/2020 11:53

I’m weeding my drive and front path. It’s riveting.

BillywigSting · 25/09/2020 12:50

My procrastination knows no bounds. I very quickly gave up on my mile long to do list and wrote something vaguely creative, voluntarily, for the first time in about 15 years. Which I suppose is a bit exciting but no one is going to read it so not really.

I managed to get a few things crossed off though and have a couple of hours to get the rest done so I'm not feeling too put out.
