I did my routine in a different order today. I didn't like it.

An insect has bit me on the shoulder.

I've given the dog my basket for her toys as her current toy basket is over flowing.

And whoever said dull.

I am about to have two weeks annual leave and have just booked an MOT and service, contact lens check and smear test. I really know how to live.

Ooh I have also booked my mot and service for next week but the service is overdue so I am quite worried about what the bill might be.

I did 2 hours work on my dissertation this morning. Came down stairs for a snack (peanut butter on biscuits). Husband is now upstairs listening to a really boring lecture at a ridiculously loud level.

I got busy and forgot about thread no. 2 😳😳 after I’d messaged @ReallySpicyCurry to encourage her to open a continuation thread because I was gutted when I discovered the first one was full!

I will go back and read today. It will be anything but dull and unexciting, I’m sure.

We just put up a towel ring in our bathroom (moved in recently). It has changed the feel of the bathroom completely - there is still a fair bit to do including boxing in of boiler and putting in skirting along one wall, but just having a towel by the sink has made it feel so much more put together.

My DH doesn’t like the Italian honey and cream shortcake biscuits that I bought for our morning coffees, which is fine by me because I like them very much and I’ll happily munch my way through them.

I sold an item on eBay yesterday. That’s £10 towards the £200 I’ve spent on eBay this month. 😆

I've just been to the tip. Here in Brum you know have to book an appointment at the tip because of Covid 😢

I've just made a fish pie for dinner this evening.

Mmmm I’d love a fish pie.

I don’t know what I’ll do for dinner today. But I’ve got a chicken thawing for tomorrow’s dinner. I will roast it, and the leftovers will go into a Thai curry and also into a braised lettuce and peas dish later in the week.

(It’s not a MN chicken - there’s only two of us and we’ve decided to buy better quality meat but have less of it, so we have a big portion on roast day, then stretch the rest of it to two further meals)

It feels quite autumnal here. I need to get a hat.

DH has taken the day off work to construct dd2's new bed

I've put a second load of washing on, eaten banana on toast for lunch, and am just about to get back to work.

HaudMaPup has outgrown his 2nd puppy bed so slept on the end of my bed last night and was a very good boy keeping my toes toasty.❤

I found a book from a course I did about 5 years ago. I plan to return it tomorrow.

I bought some cooking apples from the farm shop.

It's very sunny and warm - I've even opened the windows.

The postman delivered yet another pizza menu.

Asked to babysit on Friday night. That’ll be my first night out for six months. I am so excited!

I tried to put my replacement filter in the vacuum and it doesn't fit so I'll have to send it back.

I've just had a strawberry yogurt and now I'm somehow more hungry than I was before eating it.

We're having wall paper steamed off our ceiling today. The house is a mess.
I hung out the laundry, then it started drizzling.
There's no point bringing the laundry in due to said mess plus all the steam.

I’m cleaning the skirting boards in our old house. It stood empty for a year and a half before we moved in so there is a lot of gunk to get rid of. But on the bright side, I get the instant gratification of uncovering lovely, white skirting! I started in the hallway and it’s amazing what a difference it’s made.

I made DH a toastie for lunch. I want one too.

I have been out and bought a load of paint to start painting dd's room tomorrow. It will be mint green.

Someone who ordered something online has given them my email by mistake. I have received 4 emails today relating to someone else's complaint. I replied back that it isn't me, and then got back yet another message that that was an automated email address. So I have given up now. But i am wondering what its all about, as i love to hear about a good complaint.

@Ninkanink What are you using to clean them ? Never know what to use.

When I was taking a paint out of the car, I leant on the tow bar and got oil on my jeans. So they are now in the washing machine and I will be might pissed if it doesn't come out, as it was the first time I had worn them. They are high rise skinnies. They make my bum look less saggy.

I can update the thread later with the outcome.

I’m just using warm soapy water (washing up liquid) and a microfibre cloth.

If there are any really stubborn areas I will try with sugar soap.

I need a wee but the window cleaner is currently doing the bathroom window and asked for it open so he can do the plastic bits.

Said window is directly behind the loo so he'd be looking right at me as he cleans.

Do we get one kitten this coming Saturday, or go for a sibling pair available first week in November. Decisions decisions.

@QuestionableMouse it was last summer. I was wearing a jumpsuit. Went to the loo and was sitting there when the window cleaner came to the (open) window......
