Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

It looks a bit dull out.

I've just changed the bed linen and the washing is on.

Can't really think of anything else un-noteworthy to add at the minute.

ReallySpicyCurry · 09/09/2020 11:19

After days of rain and temperatures of 12 degrees, it is now sunny, breezy, and a pleasant 18.

I have done a massive load of washing and I have hung it up. Our washing line is tied between two old holly trees, and it is making me unreasonably happy to see it all flapping away there

It's raining.

Mine is too, and the bush is needing trimmed, because the washing flaps onto the spiky leaves, and I'm concerned about holes.

There's items missing from my groceries but I don't know what as I haven't received an email from them, I haven't got a paper copy of the receipt and my mum put it away for me because I had to nip out.

So I'm not entirely sure what I'm missing. 🤔🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

mummmy2017 · 09/09/2020 11:54

A speeding youth on a bike hit my car in the boot.
His fault entirely. But under 16 can't be blamed, ever.
It upped my car insurance by £150 and he gets to claim for injury off my insurance.
I am mad.

My tesco delivery arrived today. The cereal box was wet so the driver took it back with him.

BillywigSting · 09/09/2020 12:29

I'm sitting in the lovely little independent coffee shop near me, alone for the very first time since before Easter.

It is wonderful.

I've had two hot cups of coffee and a slice of cake and feel very indulgent.

Will nip into asda shortly for bread and milk. Might have a nose at their bedlinen which is surprisingly good.

HaudMaDug · 09/09/2020 12:42

I just ate a ryvita with chicken paste on it and the taste reminded me of my packed lunch in the late 70s.

I agree. We bought brushed cotton grey and white bedding with stars and it is my new favourite having taken over from a previous favourite that held the title for years, even when buying a new set from M & S. the previous was a set from BHS iirc.

DH and DS have been to school this morning for DS’s second induction session. They have made a crown with leave and things stuck to it, and apparently they built a den. DH is now shattered Grin

I went for a run, but my ankle was still quite sore so it was about as much walking as running.

DH says he feels a bit off, but I was too until I took an antihistamine and went for a run. There is a huge field of maize opposite our house, and I think we might be allergic to it. I feel normal again now I’ve taken a pill, anyway. DH has taken his temperature and it’s normal, his sense of taste and smell is fine and he isn’t coughing... 🤷‍♀️

QuestionableMouse · 09/09/2020 12:57

There's a rotten cold doing the rounds. I had it about three weeks ago and I've still got the cough. Spent a week thinking my hay-fever was really bad then woke up one day with a raw throat, snotty nose and the bloody cough. Managed to get a test which was negative.

ReallySpicyCurry · 09/09/2020 15:31

I'm jealous of Billy's coffee shop trip. I haven't done that in months. It used to be my payday treat - a new book and a really nice coffee after work. Then I changed job before lockdown and the coffee shops are no longer on my route and the rest of the time I am betoddlered. I might take myself off and do it this weekend...

My bread didn’t stick to the damp tea towel on its final prove so is perfectly smooth and even on top.

Taswama · 09/09/2020 17:00

Met a work colleague for lunch today (we are both still working from home). On the walk there I heard a sound I recognised but couldn't quite place. Until I realised it was the sound of children playing at the nearby primary school!

Frownette · 09/09/2020 17:07

I am unexceptionally dull and unexciting but however put my foot down earlier a little about money owed to me.

I want to buy mini mac in ruby woo.

Someone left me what looks like seafood salad earlier.

Lazysundayafternoons · 09/09/2020 17:07

I finished work on time today and dont have to log back on later!

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 09/09/2020 17:16

The sun finally put in an appearance and the washing has dried on the line.
Breathless with excitement here.

WouldBeGood · 09/09/2020 17:18

Went to my new gym for the first time today. Was great to be back out doing something.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 09/09/2020 17:31

Just home from work. It turned warm again. Next door have music on, feels a bit like summer Smile.
I downloaded DS homework about the genetics of insulin.. He didn't like it. It's his final year and every bit of work counts towards the end result.
They send me a BODEN catalogue - I must have clicked on sth here on MN.

managedmis · 09/09/2020 17:37

I've got the Fireplace For Your Home on Netflix whilst I have my lunch break. It's cold and grey here today.

I had leftover pork chop, roast spuds and carrots for lunch, with a bowl of soup. I'm saving a fortune on food by working from home!

Deathraystare · 09/09/2020 18:12

Really MUST do thel aundry tonight.

Wearing my new khaki/olive leggings from Primark. They fit really well (I am 18/20 so go for size XL). Trouble is I have a 'wodge' of tummy that probably shows up (I have a jumper hopefully hiding it for now).

Will probably have a jacket spud for tea.Possibly with beans if that isn't too exciting.

Deathraystare · 09/09/2020 18:20

Frownette I want to buy mini mac in ruby woo.

I don't think you will regret it. Though it is a bit blue on me - I mean a blue red not that it 'fuchsias on me, I still like it.

Let's hope he was shaken up at least, though I doubt it. They are invincible, aren't they?!

Deathraystare · 09/09/2020 18:28

How could I have forgotten this? My tomato plants have finally produced a (single) flower. hmm If a tomato follows, the first frost is guaranteed to get it before it ripens.

So now we have to wait with baited breath!
