Any new Eufy Robovac parents out there?

A couple of weeks ago there was a flurry of recommendations for the Eufy RoboVac on a couple of threads.
Several posters declared they would be buying one. I was one of them.
I wondered how other new owners were getting on. We are delighted with ours.
To start with it did not seem like a time saver, but this was because we were so fascinated with its purposeful scurrying that we just sat and watched it.
Now it gets going via the app every morning at 6.30 and does three rooms plus many yards of hall carpet.
It is truly amazing how much it picks up. After four days on the same route it still fills up each time. It seems to be mainly picking up dust, but where does it keep coming from?
Just two complaints: the small pieces of adhesive paper supplied is not very sticky. You use those if you want to create a barrier. When you interrupt its routine to tell it to go back to its base it won’t go straight there but rather indignantly insists on going via the pretty route.

Otherwise great!
Anyone else?

Eufy website has £44 off the 30C at the moment. I was planning on waiting for one of the Max range to come on sale as I assumed the stronger suction would be better, but now I'm dithering....

I've been putting off getting a Eufy since this thread first started and I finally decided that Black Friday would be my time, but I need to make sure I get the right one.

Mostly hard floors downstairs, two cats, two kids, fluff and bits of dry mud everywhere, except the one carpeted room which is where I sew, so long strands of thread tangled into the pile...

[[Link to discounted 30c

Hope that worked....

There's £40 off the 15C max on the Eufy website, I see. I have it sitting in my basket but haven't quite taken the plunge just yet. I should, shouldn't I?

BrigitsBigKnickers · 20/11/2020 19:55

Yessssss! Do it!

I just love my 30C (Bernard!) just makes life so much easier and picks up so much!

TrickyD · 21/11/2020 09:38

How can anyone know if the site is legit unless they have successfully bought from them? Do they have a Facebook page? Trustpilot?Google?

Today is my birthday and look what I got!!!
Timothy is still charging and Dh is positive he’s going to be completely useless, it’s taken a good 5 years to persuade him to get me one
I hope Timothy proves him wrong

Ours arrived this week and I'm besotted!!! I got the G10 hybrid, and the mop is okay, but I don't think worth the extra money really. But the vacuuming is incredible! And the voices she can have... I love it!!

Champagneforeveryone · 22/11/2020 12:50

Popping back to this thread with a warning.

When emptying the litter tray, be very careful that you don't throw away the primary filter. This will prove to be almost impossible to replace if you want a knock off one before new year. A genuine one seems not to exist.

Meanwhile poor Dog is left alone under the stairs and my floors become ever more dusty. Hmm

desperatehousewife2 · 26/11/2020 11:10

I’ve ordered the 15c max and cannot WAIT!!!! DH thought it was a stupid idea to get one when I suggested it a few weeks ago so I may need to keep Eufy my little secret and break him out when DH is at work 😃 There are still parts I’ll have to take the proper hoover out for like the stairs and around the stove because Eufy won’t be able to get at that but I can’t wait to see what it can do.

I am planning to order one too! Do you (or does anyone else) have a referral code at all for me to try? It might not work with the Black Friday deals but worth a try I suppose! Grin
Nosnogginginthekitchen · 26/11/2020 19:58

90 quid off with black Friday!!!!

desperatehousewife2 · 26/11/2020 20:00

Yes I got it in Black Friday sale with £90 off!

ancientgran · 26/11/2020 20:32

I want to buy one for DD and her husband for Christmas (they will get some fun stuff as well) but there are so many, it's doing my head in. Is the 15c OK? It is £179.99 on amazon at the moment which seems good but would anyone recommend it, is it better to get another one. Please make my mind up for me.

SunscreenCentral · 26/11/2020 21:08

Can someone clued in tell me what this means from the product info online page:

Make sure you are using a 2.4GHz router or a dual-band router that is configured to support a 2.4GHz frequency band. RoboVac doesn’t support 5GHz frequency band.

TrickyD · 26/11/2020 21:23

Black Friday Amazon: Eufy 30c £152.99, 15CMax £179

ancientgran · 26/11/2020 23:15

Hi TrickyD, the £179 15CMax is the one I am thinking of ordering. Is that a good choice, I'm finding them all very confusing.

SunscreenCentral · 27/11/2020 03:41

Took the plunge. Co-parent will whine but he doesn’t fucking do vacuuming so he can shut it.

Excited to have clean floors in the near future

Our broadband appears twice when you check for connections on my phone, one is just the router name, one has 5GHz in front of the router name. When I changed broadband provider it was a bit of a new thing, I think 5GHz is faster but the normal (2.4?) goes further?

In any case, it was simply a question of selecting the "normal" connection to connect him to and nothing like as complicated as that passage suggests Smile

TrickyD · 27/11/2020 06:40

ancientgran, yes, very confusing. We have the 30c and are very happy with it, but many people with the 15Cmax are equally pleased.
Somewhere upthread is a list of all models and the difference between them.

OP posts:
TrickyD · 27/11/2020 06:51

ancientgran this might help. I think the poster chose the 15Max.

@TrickyD

WutheredOut This list was kindly provided by mosscarpet:

re dog hair - I went for the 30c max as we have 3 dogs and and 2 cats, (plus 4 dd with long hair LOL) and it is amazing. I do dehair his little roller every time, but that is sooo easy to do.
from my research the difference between the models is as follows:
11 s initial model, doesn't work with app/alexa
15 c next model up, works with app/alexa
15 c max - as for 15 c, with greater suction
30c - as for 15 c, but with boundary strips
30c max as for 30 c but better suction

ancientgran a bit more info courtesy of mosscarpet
