Amber Heard & Johnny Depp....Your thoughts?

I have seen this in the news over the past couple of days and wasn't really sure what to think. It sounds to me like a very volatile relationship and it may be that they are both abusers. Or at the least they are completely incompatible with each other.

Today I noticed that Amber Heard was walking into court and she had a scarf around her face. Then she removed the scarf and smiled for everyone and waved and seemed to enjoy the cameras being there. It's just an observation but maybe the accusations of her being a narcissist could be accurate? Or is she maybe trying to put a brave face on it all under what must be a very stressful situation for all concerned?

Johnny Depp kept his mask on but was also waving for the cameras I should add.

Anyway, I'm well aware it's none of my business really, it was just something I had thought about after seeing the news today and wondered what others thought!

Paradis is not a fair witness. They have to keep the peace with each other.
It could also be that he was at this unstable at that time. Either way, she is hardly a witness we can trust.
I think both AH and JD are as bad as each other but his spin doctors are smarter (and receive a far more hefty pay check).

MrsWhites · 08/07/2020 20:09

@possiblepickle but having problems with drugs/alcoholism/mental health doesn’t automatically make you a wife beater as the sun called him, it’s high time that the media are held accountable to the bullshit that they print with no evidence! And not every man who chooses to marry a younger woman is ‘creepy’ either! You are victim blaming but because the man is the possible victim you think that’s ok!

Uraflutteringcunt · 08/07/2020 20:09

Additionally if it turned out that VP had faced years of emotional abuse and appeasing an addict for the sake of their children, she may feel she cannot speak openly against him.

I’m going to say if it turned out that, again. Just in case someone reads the opposite of what I said again.

ArriettyJones · 08/07/2020 20:09

From a legal perspective he was ill-advised to pursue this lawsuit. For one thing, financially it’s a big gamble, secondly all kinds of gory details are likely to emerge during the course of the proceedings, such as the fact he supplied his 13 year old daughter with drugs on top of the inevitable’he said, she said’ allegations which could damage his reputation further.

I was wondering about that. I concluded that with a big enough fee, you’ll find willing legal representation for any case. I suppose it’s an intellectual challenge too for a certain kind of barrister?

Smashtastic · 08/07/2020 20:09

Who has the presence of mind during a row with their husband/wife to record and video them? That's just odd.

It makes me think she has systematically attempted to build a bad picture of him to use in divorce proceedings for years. It's cold and it's calculated.

possiblepickle · 08/07/2020 20:10

@ArriettyJones

Ive not read anything misogynistic. What have I missed

The texts between JD & PB about drowning AH “to prove she’s a witch”, then burning her, then “fucking her corpse to make sure she’s dead”.

Oh dear! Shock
FrippEnos · 08/07/2020 20:11

Uraflutteringcunt

You are putting at least some of the blame for her actions on him.

He may not be a saint but she is wholly responsible for her actions.

Or are you saying that all victims of DV are partially responsible for the abuse that they suffer. Or just the males?

ArriettyJones · 08/07/2020 20:13

Oh dear!

IKR?

Paul Bettany’s reputation is going to be (quite rightly) destroyed by this case.

possiblepickle · 08/07/2020 20:13

Jury is still out on whether he beat her or not. I read the transcript of one video where he says he did hit her. That is why I am saying they are awful but he is far more awful cos he is far more older.
And huge number of younger woman/older man relationships are highly unbalanced, in the favour of men. There is no denying it. It’s creepy AF.

Uraflutteringcunt · 08/07/2020 20:16

Oh wow. That’s a reach Grin Did I say any of that at all?

Or are you saying that all victims of DV are partially responsible for the abuse that they suffer. Or just the males?
^ no I’m not saying this at all. you wrote this sentence, not me.
I said HE IS TO BLAME SO IS SHE

For the ones who can’t read that means exactly what it says.
BOTH ARE TO BLAME
BOTH ARE TO BLAME
BOTH ARE TO BLAME

EmmaGrundyForPM · 08/07/2020 20:17

I'm.not sure what to think tbh. But Amber Heard comes across as deranged

possiblepickle · 08/07/2020 20:17

I still firmly believe both are not to blame equally. He has far more money, influence and star power. He went for a woman half his age. He is worse.

purpleme12 · 08/07/2020 20:17

I don't know what to think

But it's really uncomfortable reading

FrippEnos · 08/07/2020 20:18

Uraflutteringcunt

I did write it, well done.

But you wrote

Additionally if it turned out that VP had faced years of emotional abuse and appeasing an addict for the sake of their children, she may feel she cannot speak openly against him.

This^

So you are trying very hard to make him in to an abuser.

purpleme12 · 08/07/2020 20:19

I can't believe he gave drugs to his daughter!

And did she really poo on the bed?!!

SisterAgatha · 08/07/2020 20:19

FrippEnos why not put that question to the posters openly saying she’s liar and manipulative and out for fame, instead of a poster who is only saying the same as everyone else and that they both are pieces of work.

InfiniteSheldon · 08/07/2020 20:19

It never read right from the beginning and the more video footage and testimony I hear the more I believe JD.

mbosnz · 08/07/2020 20:20

Is this a judge alone trial?

heartsonacake · 08/07/2020 20:20

@possiblepickle

I still firmly believe both are not to blame equally. He has far more money, influence and star power. He went for a woman half his age. He is worse.
You think he’s worse because he went for a younger woman? She’s in her thirties; she’s not a teenager!

PS. She’s also not “half his age” 😉

blueglassandfreesias · 08/07/2020 20:20

I’m with JD. AH has a massive history of domestic violence in her pre ious relationships (her the perpetrator)
JD’s exes have ALL come out in support of him, saying that he’s the gentlest soul.
If you have any doubt that she’s an abusive narc listen to her recorded arguments with JD and her deposition.

SisterAgatha · 08/07/2020 20:21

I think it’s clear they are both abusers, you are just out for a weird argument with one person in a sea of people who can see they were both toxic.

FrippEnos · 08/07/2020 20:21

SisterAgatha

I am I not allowed to put questions to someone who is putting forward made up scenarios to make there point?

Plus who made you the thread police?

possiblepickle · 08/07/2020 20:23

This toxic culture of Hollywood celebrating alcoholics and dick-thinkers should end now. There are smarter, far more handsome men who should be given a chance, not gits like Depp. In my age group, people only remember him for the Pirates chcaracter and that was not an Oscar winning performance. Hmm

Windyjuly · 08/07/2020 20:23

Some of people do trigger other people.

I think they were a volatile match and it would not surprise me if he had hit her at some point.
It looks obvious that things went both ways though, but was she driven to it out-of frustration? But maybe he was?

He's clearly a man in deep deep pain. I never realised he had an abusive childhood.

It's sad if its true that his daughter said ah was good for his drinking.

I know someone whose quite powerful personality wise and rants so people simply dare not speak the truth..

Uraflutteringcunt · 08/07/2020 20:23

I’m going to say if it turned out that, again. Just in case someone reads the opposite of what I said again.

I did put this disclaimer and you missed it.
