Amber Heard & Johnny Depp....Your thoughts?

I have seen this in the news over the past couple of days and wasn't really sure what to think. It sounds to me like a very volatile relationship and it may be that they are both abusers. Or at the least they are completely incompatible with each other.

Today I noticed that Amber Heard was walking into court and she had a scarf around her face. Then she removed the scarf and smiled for everyone and waved and seemed to enjoy the cameras being there. It's just an observation but maybe the accusations of her being a narcissist could be accurate? Or is she maybe trying to put a brave face on it all under what must be a very stressful situation for all concerned?

Johnny Depp kept his mask on but was also waving for the cameras I should add.

Anyway, I'm well aware it's none of my business really, it was just something I had thought about after seeing the news today and wondered what others thought!

I am still quite astonished by the things he has made public in order to do so though. Some of the photographs are quite upsetting.

I think that shows how important clearing his name of being a wife beater is to him, especially since he went for the preemptive tactic of getting everything potentially embarrassing out in the open during his time on the stand.

Whilst I know the case is against The Sun it’s very much either JD is a wife beater or AH is a liar who has made inexcusable accusations about her ex-husband. I imagine that regardless of the judge’s decision, there will be some who will believe the other side regardless. Either way, I’d be surprised if AH’s career doesn’t falter now.

Yes I agree. To me, more damage has been done with the revelations from this than from what The Sun was saying

I’m amazed both that she took pictures of him like that, and that they were released. I can’t get past him admitting head butting her in self defence, other than thinking they both sound like they need serious life reform and are much better off alone until they’ve sorted themselves out.

Tbh I still can’t get over her shitting in their bed. If nothing else she is a deeply unpleasant individual. Hearing the rest, whilst he is really out there in terms of behaviour, he has owned it (for good or bad) They clearly are toxic together, but all in all, I believe him.

He didn’t accuse her of shitting the bed - he said it was one of her friends.....she said she didn’t do it....maybe she should sue for the defamatory headlines? That case would probably contain less shit than this one

Only just realised today that he's taking her to court in the USA as well for defamation. Case to start in Jan.

I can't believe he let this all come out. I heard a recording of them after the divorce saying he wanted to resolve it out of the public and for them to write a letter. Some of the evidence is unbelievable.

I find it strange that when cross examining heard there has been no evidence or mention of her having medical treatment for injuries. Surely it's common sense that if she was left with all these cuts, bruises and a split lip that there would be some record of her being seen by medics. Even if they wanted to keep it private at least JD doctors? He is the only one who has received medical treatment- why? If it was that bad after the three day abuse she claims, she wouldn't have just gone to sleep, she would have gone to get it checked out. It's strange this hasn't been bought up.

At one point she says she got checked out for concision but I haven't seen any statement by the doctor who did that, conforming or denying her discussion.

I am amazed she made that statement. Surely her legal team would have advised against it. She is a witness commenting on a live case.

Re the head but, he didn't do it deliberately (apparently) he accidentally did it whilst he was trying to restrain her.

Agree re the way he spoke about her and apparently VP!! He doesn't seem chivalrous at all!!

He is in need of serious help and so much was supposedly hidden from the production company in oz... What production company would touch him now however?

I can't see how this damages her career. All publicity is good publicity. She's not a nurse or in a profession where you need moral integrity.

I've not read Sherbourne closing argument in full. I don't envy that judge!!

Saw part of the statement outside court, am not sure who she was addressing, it was very cringe but the very fact that she thought it was a good idea speaks volumes about her delusion and how she sees herself.
I hope they both find some peace in their lives once this is over!

There was one other instance of him calling Vanessa Paradis a 'withering c*nt' but it was said to her I believe in a text exchange which demonstrated the slightly odd way they both communicated with each other. A 'pet name' if you will.

I agree. For someone with a daughter, I wonder how JD would feel if her boyfriend was referring to her in those terms? My guess is, it would no longer then be just a “hilarious joke”.

In fairness to JD (and on this point I'm reaching) but Paul Bettany started that text thread about 'what should we do with the witch'.
It went entirely too far and doesn't reflect well on JD but at that point he'd been physically, psychologically, emotionally and financially abused, his career ruined and life torn apart by what increasingly seems to be a violent, narcissistic sociopath. He was driven to the edge of suicide and was carrying the physical scars to show it.

I'm not entirely sure I wouldn't have sent some distasteful texts either.
(Although I agree, they were particularly distasteful)

Having read both closing arguments I can't see how the judge can't go on JD side. AH doesn't have any proper evidence, all say so by her friends and some suspect photos which can't be guaranteed are real and only match her evidence when she changes the dates. She has no independent witnesses and no-one saw or heard her, weird if she was screaming at the top of her lungs. Why didn't she make any of these recordings when he was having one of his rages? why didn't she call the police,except for once, if she was scared for her life? Why didn't she get her wounds looked at? A broken nose isn't going to heal itself and neither are cuts being dragged through glass. Her statements are crazy.

It seems there was some violence on his side as a toxic relationship, but if she hadn't have gone so far with her far fetched stories she might have been believed.

That particular one yes, but they had been bantering back and fourth for a while. Who on earth would just randomly call their friends wife a witch unless JD has referred to her like that before? He also refers to her as a slut/ whore. Joking about fcking her dead corpse to make sure she’s dead hardly paints him as a feminist. As I said, total hypocrite because if someone referred to his daughter that way I highly doubt he’d just chuckle and find it amusing.
