How many countries have you visited?

Hi, my friend from school is very well travelled and is now a high end travel agent. She was saying recently that she has been to 47 countries.

Many of them are long haul types ie Australia, Japan, lots of Caribbean and Europe and some really exotic places such as Bora Bora.

I worked out I’ve been to 12 countries which I think is probably more than average. I have an auntie in her 60’s who has never left the country and know a few others who are the same.

It would be really interesting to hear about other people’s experiences. Included are England/Ireland/Scotland/Wales.

Whilst I was very impressed with my friend’s tally, she said one of her bosses has been to almost 70. I just couldn’t imagine even wanting to go to that many places!

Yep that's the plan to get them all ticked off! I have Serbia, Macedonia, Andorra, Monaco, Andorra, Luxembourg and Lichtenstein remaining. I was counting Cyprus as Europe so actually still have 7 to go grin

Theres a great app called been that you can record your list on and it will tell you what percentage of the world you have visited. Dont know if this has already been mentioned.

Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE, China, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Sri Lanka, Italy, Maldives, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Germany, France, Vatican City, Ireland, Malta, Croatia, Montenegro, Egypt, Cuba, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Mexico, USA, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Iceland, Poland, Singapore..i think that is it. So 34.

Oops. Forgot a few. South Africa, Lesotho, Estonia, Denmark, Sotland, England, Wales. So thats 41.

Blimey. Too hard. Plus Netherlands, Belgium. So 43. I give up now. Can't remember them all..

6 but 8 if I count Scotland and Wales.

I have never been abroad as an adult though, only as a child.

45. Across Europe, Africa, Asia, North America and the Antipodes.

16. 19 if I add Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I won’t include airport stopovers.

Nearly all are European countries, plus India, Bhutan, Morocco and Chile. I’m very lucky. Bhutan is fascinating and beautiful 🇧🇹 . Italy and Iceland are my other favourites, so far.

That BT was just a Bhutanese flag emoji that popped up.

Erm 21 ish, DH is not a big traveller so I have to push him to go somewhere other than Devon!
