We are going to Alton towers
Wish I’d held off booking tickets as the weather is much better on Sunday than Saturday
And we have to wear masks on the rides

Strawberry picking! 🍓

V boring but ds loves it.

I'm sure at some point my dh will try to go for a hair cut and a pint even if he tells me he has nothing planned Grin

Enjoy Alton towers.

Bimblepops · 01/07/2020 08:11

Staying home and staying safe!

Sirzy · 01/07/2020 08:14

If the weather is nice we have tickets for the local WWT place but other than that I am staying in!

DH is going back to work (in a pub) he’s dreading what it’s going to be like
Dd & I will be staying at home

Lardlizard · 01/07/2020 08:17

Wwt ? Is that wildlife ?

FightMilkTM · 01/07/2020 08:18

We are staying in.
We’ve been out and about a lot to parks, petting zoos etc but we aren’t going out with the masses this weekend. Sounds hellish even without rona!
Might pop into MiLs as we are going away next weekend so won’t see her for a bit.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 01/07/2020 08:18

Pub if we can book in. It’ll be very popular.

justanotherneighinparadise · 01/07/2020 08:19

Off on holiday!! Only a two hour journey but I think the roads are going to be crazy!!

Layoverlife · 01/07/2020 08:19

Going to work on a night shift and dreading it 😭 (Paramedic)

Bagelsandbrie · 01/07/2020 08:19

Staying around home, going for a walk locally etc. I can’t think of anything worse than a shop / day out etc whilst things are the way they are.

TheChestnutCafe · 01/07/2020 08:20

Visiting a local lavender farm.
DH has no plans to visit a pub, he thinks it will be carnage out there.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 01/07/2020 08:20

OP, can you update with how it goes and whether it’s a successful day? We are pondering Alton towers or Thorpe park soon.

danni0509 · 01/07/2020 08:20

@Layoverlife Bless you!

GrannyBags · 01/07/2020 08:22

Going to work - setting up the Church ready for Sunday.

heyheyho · 01/07/2020 08:23

Why do people think pubs will be carnage when they have to limit the numbers and social distance? They lose their license if they don't comply. I'm sick of the scare mongering on here

HotFlower26 · 01/07/2020 08:25

DD’s and I are having dsil and her 2 teenagers round For Nando’s. DH are his friends are going for a couple of drinks in one of their gardens.

nancy75 · 01/07/2020 08:26

I don’t blame you, I think the pub/uncontrollable drunks is going to be carnage.
bigbluebus · 01/07/2020 08:26

I was going to go for a bike ride but having read how many cars the RAC are saying will take to the roads on Saturday I think I'll stay at home.

happystory · 01/07/2020 08:28

Having my hair cut 💇‍♀️

Because a lot of pubs will be selling to people outside on the street as well as those sat in the pub. DH works in a pub on a high street that has 7 other pubs (2 are Wetherspoons) - imagine what that’s going to be like at 11.30
petalpower · 01/07/2020 08:30

I’ve got a cut and colour at the hairdressers but apart from that we will be carrying on mostly being at home.

Finfintytint · 01/07/2020 08:32

Our pub has just announced strict rules. Bookings for meals only, no more than 4 people for a table, using same glass, nominated person to order and will only opening mid afternoon to early evening.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 01/07/2020 08:34

Our local pub is rural and has strict rules in place, there won’t be carnage there.

Startyanodealstockpile · 01/07/2020 08:34

Staying in. Govt have warned hospitals it will be worse than New Year's Eve carnage. We are a nation of drunkard fighty fools. We can add 'plaguey' to that list in a couple of weeks.
