We are going to Alton towers
Wish I’d held off booking tickets as the weather is much better on Sunday than Saturday
And we have to wear masks on the rides

@ThroughThickAndThin01

Our local pub is rural and has strict rules in place, there won’t be carnage there.
Exactly. They all have strict rules and after the 4th there will be no takeaway
cariadlet · 01/07/2020 08:36

I'm hoping the weather will be nice enough to spend most of it in the garden. DP and I don't want to go anywhere near pubs until people have got used to going for a drink again. Going by the scenes at beaches recently, there's no point in relying on the public's common sense.

Stopping at home, might go for a run. then going to work at midnight till 8am Sunday morning making sure the elderly and vulnerable get their food shop.

I will be going to the yard and riding my horse as usual. Will then spend the rest of the day at home.
OH is going to the pub. His friend has booked a table

kimlo · 01/07/2020 08:38

on friday frozen 2 and hamilton are released on disney+, so I will be watching one of them.

DiggingForClues · 01/07/2020 08:39

Finishing work at 2pm, getting home asap and staying there.
I've had enough of people getting right in my face already this week at work.

Social distancing is over as far as a lot of people are concerned and they are coming closer than they ever did before lockdown. Confused Angry

crazychemist · 01/07/2020 08:40

Staying at home because I think it’ll all be like the day that McDonald’s takeaway opened, or when Primark opened.... I don’t really fancy queueing!

I’m very much hoping for some level of normality to be returning over summer, at least for outdoor activities. REALLY hope our local playgrounds open soon and that shops return to relatively normal levels as there are things we will need over the summer.

Thurlow · 01/07/2020 08:43

Not going to the park, apparently, as our local council has decided that it's not going to open any of them Hmm

But we do have a friend coming to stay for the weekend which is great.

AlternativePerspective · 01/07/2020 08:45

Shielding anyway but if I wasn’t I would be staying home.

The people flocking to the pubs on Saturday are the ones who will be blaming the government when their town ends up back in lockdown in a couple of weeks, when actually these spikes are the fault of the idiots, not the fault of the government.

Curlyshabtree · 01/07/2020 08:46

Staying well and truly at home.

TheOrigBrave · 01/07/2020 08:47

I've got a slot at the local dump so I'll be going there.

Too exciting, I know!

TomNook · 01/07/2020 08:48

OUT OUT OUT

frumpety · 01/07/2020 08:49

Working Smile

Midnight0 · 01/07/2020 08:50

I'm in Leicester, so absolutely no plans for Saturday 😂

ekidmxcl · 01/07/2020 08:53

I’m staying at home and am going to clean/tidy up as everyone here has worked so hard and the house has not been looked after as a result. It’s looks as though it’s going to be utter carnage and
I wouldn’t go out unless someone paid me!

Westiegirl3 · 01/07/2020 08:55

We're going on holiday for 2 weeks. I'm not looking forward to the journey though, it's only 2.5 hours away but I know the M6 is going to be crazy.

Idontknowwhattodo01 · 01/07/2020 08:56

I'm booked in for a hair cut! I cannot wait, it's been nearly 5 months! Apart from that I won't be going anywhere, I feel it'll be absolute carnage and busy everywhere so I can't be arsed, I'll leave it a couple of weeks.

draughtycatflap · 01/07/2020 08:57

My knitting.

BillyAndTheSillies · 01/07/2020 08:58

Nothing. Don't fancy going anywhere because everywhere will be hellishly busy.

If DS2 wakes up at the crack of dawn I might take the boys to the playground at the top of the road first thing.

My super Saturday begins next weekend - cut and colour on the 11th and then I have a dinner reservation in central London with SIL.

RaininSummer · 01/07/2020 09:01

Staying in. Can't think of anything worse than pubs at present.

The80sweregreat · 01/07/2020 09:02

Staying home with a zoom quiz night.

drspouse · 01/07/2020 09:05

Picnic at an NT place in the rain...

thecatsthecats · 01/07/2020 09:07

In an ideal world, the pub.

In the real world, a Zoom hen do Sad.

Quarantimespringclean · 01/07/2020 09:08

Staying home. We were asked to a prebooked pub gathering with some friends but we wouldn’t want to drive to a pub and we don’t want to travel on public transport atm.

Despite the rule changes we intend to stick to outdoor social distancing with a very small circle of family at the moment. We want to be sure we are safe to visit our elderly parents. The soonest I have anything planned is an outdoor lunch with 4 mates on July 18th and as two of them are high risk it will only be going ahead if infection numbers stay low in our area.

ILoveAnOwl · 01/07/2020 09:09

Going to see my Mum and Dad for the first time in months.
