Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

Ill take the vodka and vanilla shot. On my 7th day of working on the trot and will be working straight through to next weekend as well. Luckily it's an early start and an early finish so I'll be done by lunchtime and then I'm going back to bed 🙈

Its been awhile since I had porridge but as @PinkDaydreams said its a cold miserable day so porridge and soup are just the ticket.

I Am not sure if I am going to get a chance to make any kittenbee harnesses this weekend ( whey are weekends so short ) I have a load of washing cooking and cleaning and my workaholic boss has me to contact some local businesses to see if we can get some more work in the area , christ knows who he thinks is going to do it if we do get more work !

What is everyone else up to ?

I woke up hungry this morning so I am going to stick a loaf in the toaster ( who knew a 20 slice toaster was a thing ) there is cheeses , beans , mushrooms , scrambled and poached eggs, marmite ( of course ) jam , marmalade, honey, to go on it . have I missed anything ?

I'll let Fernando lose on the new Italian style coffee machine, he's in a bit of a mood because Florence has gone on a sugar work course and I won't send him to keep her company.If you do want a cocktail be warned, he has a glint in his eye that means you will think you are drinking a white wine spritzer and it will have 4 shots in it, or the infamous Covid-19, so named because it sonsists of 19 different ingredients.

@AlCalavicci they sort of buzz when they purr, like a miniature motorbike engine. They can meow but rarely do.

For those of you working you are getting a treat from Yorkshire, a bait tin. Ie a metal tin containing bread and dripping, spice cake with cheese and of course your flasks will today contain tea.

So much for the weather being lovely here this week, it's bloody lashing down. Shall resemble a drowned rat on the school run today!

Just going to grab a quick peppermint tea to go for now and may be back later to try some of Fernando's cocktails. I fear he's become a dangerous addition to the cafe and I'm to blame 😂

Now what's all this about a new coffee machine? I am a very willing guinea pig for any thing that is strong and black , but someone else will have to try all the frothy syrupy ones they are not to my taste.

Its very damp round here but really warm it feels like a spring morning.
I can't decided what I want this morning so I will just stick the kettle on for now , I dare not touch Fernando's coffee machine he seems a but obsessed with it's settings ( as was I went I worked in a bar with a coffee machine)

For breakfast today we are getting fishy. Kippers obviously but some Japanese style grilled fish on rice and other fishy breakfasts.

Awful sleep, little one woke up early too so I’m feeling in need of a coffee to perk me up a bit please! A vanilla latte would be lovely please. I’m not a massive fan of fish for breakfast so I’ll skip that thank you.

@MinnieMountain sorry for the grossness but I suffer terrible night sweats, so at least a few times a week I have a bad night. I had tests years back but neither the gp or hospital could get to the bottom of them. It’s so uncomfortable and embarrassing also

@PinkDaydreams that sounds crap. I get the odd peri-menopausal ones and my GP suggested evening primrose oil. Have you tried it?

I work Tuesday mornings, then 9am-5pm Wednesday and Thursday. Today I had about enough time for lunch before the school run.

It's been very warm here too.

Since I'm posting in the afternoon, I'll leave a cherry and almond cake out.
