Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

If I was ever put in charge I would make it illegal to have to be up, dressed and working before 7am. Not sure how the world would function as a great many of essential services take place before 7am but that's just where I'm at today 😂

@AlCalavicci those shifts sound tough! Hopefully the kitten bees will make it easier.

I am on earlies tomorrow and Friday and god knows what next week so breakfast bags will be great , and a cocktail for after lunch .

Awww kittens bees to take to work , that will make my day so much better .
I promise I will look after them , i wonder if they can be traind to fly / walk in harness

Another rainy morning, I’ve got to sit in a wait for parcels (I’ve been doing a bit of Xmas shopping already 🙈) then it’s off to the little shop for bread, milk, eggs. If it dries up then I’ll take little one to the playground.

What’s everyone else’s plans for the day?

I've got someone round to fix my curtain rail this morning, so have to wait in for that. It keeps falling off and bashing me on the head and I haven't been able to fix it myself. I get a bit grumpy about people being in my bedroom so will do 15 minute tidy.

OK so pretty much the sa,e today, Florence on the plancher, Fernando making cocktails (and flirting with Florence) and bags of food to go.

Today's bags are a 1970s 'picnic' mum used to let their kids eat on a blanket in the garden.

Boiled eggs, 1 whole tomato (with salt wrapped in a bit of paper) chocolate sandwiches orange squash in a slightly leaky Tupperware cup - keep it upright and it will be OK.

Have you got children sashh?

Like the idea of boiled eggs and tomatoes salt, less keen on squash and chocolate sandwiches.

Should say feel quite proud of gravy for her resilience in the face nightmare ex and opprobrium.

Also a morning person (even before I bred a child who gets up at 6am).

We're going for a walk this morning, beach this afternoon.

I think we're getting a packed lunch this morning Minnie.

Beach sounds lovely, I was stuck on one for lockdown (what a hardship!) but can always go back to visit now I'm back in the city. Trouble is it was so beautiful during lockdown, so empty, now it's probably overrun. I loved meandering around by myself.

@sashh you’ve taken me back to being a kid, yes yes to the leaky cup of orange squash!!! I’m going to remind mother if that when I phone her later on!

Lucky you. "Our" beach is much quieter since the bank holiday. Although my friend who teaches surfing here is still busy.

@PinkDaydreams did your mother ever make a 'tent'. You let the washing line down low, throw a blanket over it and then use stones to pull the blanket out to make an inverted 'V' shape?

The break up was one of the best things to happen to me, I'm slowly learning to be happy by myself and it's lovely.

I really don't think we should put me in control of anything @AlCalavicci I can't make a decision to save my life 😂 I do like @sashh 's amendment though, let morning people be morning people and let us night owls do the evening shifts 😂

Can I add mr Kipling country slices to the picnics please? My grandma always brought them and dm and I still buy them for our picnics!

Florance has been baking overnight so if you are taking a breakfast in a bag make sure you add a pastry.

@mogloveseggs I'll have to wait for Florence to take a day off, you know how pastry chefs are, and being French as well, you can probably imagine the carnage.

Today's bags will have an open ham sandwich, fruit and one of Fernando's mocktails.

Did anyone start making kittenbee harnesses? I've left some carriers out and a few are using them to sleep and play if anyone wants some company.

I will try to get some kittenbee harnesses made over the weekend . They loved been at work yesterday but I felt mean keeping them in the carrier so today I am going to clear out a old store room to let them play in.

I spent most of my childhood in Burnley, that's the weather every weekend. I'll order some more hot chocolate and marshmallows.

@AlCalavicci please remember t leave the carrier in the room with the doors open so they have access to food, water and beds, but they will love exploring.
