Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

I am in the northwest too , at least it's nice at the moment .
@sashh oops sorry , they did have access to food, water and beds and people to play with . ( my carrier is very big ) but now they aksi have a huge heated store room to play hide and seek in.

It's a bit grim in my bit of the NW today. Hoping the rain holds off for Ds cricket tonight.
Dd made it out of the door this morning. She's gone with a neighbour. Having her fave chippy tea tonight as a well done.

It's a proper crisp and slightly chilly autumn morning out today. Puts me in the humour for porridge with cream, honey and fruit. I shall throw a pot on for any other early risers and then leave @sashh and Florence to sort out the naice breakfast later on.

I’ve just had porridge for breakfast in real life! It’s feeling very autumnal this morning, I love the autumn!

A bit of a vote for my regulars (and any irregulars) as this thread fills up I'm thinking of making a third, but, 'the cafe' isn't a great name for a cafe. @NoGravyForYou said something about this being a happy place so I'm thinking the cafe should be called, 'The happy Place Cafe'.

How does everyone feel about that?

OK bags to go today contain pastrami on rye with a small jar of pickles, a beer (non alcoholic - becks blue) and cheesecake.

Breakfast for those staying, Florence id getting good with the plancher so a selection of sausages. Fernando is learning to make sauerkraut, ketchup and other accompaniments.

May I suggest Erdinger alcohol free as an alternative? It's really good.

Pembrokeshire felt autumnal this morning. Cambridgeshire is supposed to be warm still, so it will be an interesting contrast.

We also have a small black cat who will be very pleased to see us.

I had a wonderful lie in this morning , I got up at 6.30am

The Happy place cafe is a great name or perhaps The Kittenbee Cafe ( but you will get a lot of WTF post ) .

Its cool and rather damp in the NW today which is a bugger as I have a load of washing to do .

@sashh, them bags sound great please can I have one but with AF Ghostship as I am not a larger fan , you have just made me add pastrami to my shopping list , I have not had it for ages but I love it.

I've got a Kindle. There's no seat reservations on the trains we're on but the quiet coaches don't seem to exist these days anyway.

@AlCalavicci I wouldn't trust Ivy with the kittenbees. She's an enthusiastic hunter of things that fly.

Oh heck , so is my little hunter. He will do back flips in mid air while catching flies .
He is a odd cat , his favourite place to sit is his carrier

DS(14) is making overnight French onion soup if everyone would like a bowlful tomorrow - obligatory garlic & cheese crouton floats, of course.

I'll put an order in for soup please. It can be part of the packed lunches for tomorrow. I'll get some flasks and ask Florence to make some bread to go with it.

Morning all.

Breakfast today will be porridge, congee, grits - basically any type of porridge from round the world.

Packed lunch will be French onion soup in a flask, please return them for future use, there is also a thermal bag to keep the croutons warm. Florence has made some extra bread to dunk and Fernando has made a vodka and vanilla shot.

If you are taking kitten bees with you please be careful with the soup.
