What's your household bought since lockdown?

Obviously food, also wine, lager, a couple of magazines, compost and plants all from supermarket.

DH ordered some essential gadget for work. I ordered a pair of sandles (had same ones two years ago and they were so comfortable) and DD some shorts for running. Desperately need some summer slippers. Feel bad about ordering these as it's increasing contact for others, but I guess they have to work, so had a dilemma.

This isn't a judgemental thread, but out of interest.

Two garden loungers that were pre ordered before lockdown initially started,

Some leggins and lounge jumper for dd2
Some trainers and loungewear jumper for dd1,
Loungewear and new sliders for me
A couple of dvds for movie night once a week
And normal food shopping.
Am furloughed and so is dh now so we filled fridge and two freezers up today with food shop to last a few weeks if possible as income had dropped so watching the pennies.

Oh also just upgraded our mobiles as both were due.
Worked out well as cost us £75 for both new phones and contract the same price but it means both dds can have our other phones which has saved us in long run.

40somethingJBJ · 25/04/2020 01:30

Quite a few little bits which have been delivered with my normal post, a load of new toys for my parrot as he’s a destructive little sod and had trashed all his other ones! Dog food and a few other bits off amazon that I couldn’t get with my food shopping. A new vacuum cleaner as mine blew up 3 days into lockdown.

Mintjulia · 25/04/2020 02:14

Food. A Nintendo game and three books off ds’ school reading list.

For me, two supermarket bras.

I’m trying to live within furlough money.

inchoccyheaven · 25/04/2020 02:28

We have ordered garden supplies, birthday presents, cake, hair clippers and a new drill.
Have also had 2 take aways.

Sooverthemill · 25/04/2020 07:17

@Houseinthemiddle oh that takes me back! Swing all was the best kids garden game ever!

rottiemum88 · 25/04/2020 07:39

Summer clothes for DS (he had no shorts at all in his current size and was baking in the garden thanks to the recent nice weather); gazebo for the same reason; Xbox for DH birthday as well as a book; some plants from a local nursery who've started delivering; wood for a new floor we're going to attempt laying ourselves.

Didn't think we'd spent a lot until I started making the list, but seems not having anywhere else to go and spend money doesn't agree with me Blush

Thewheelsarefallingoff · 25/04/2020 07:51

Loads of food for 5 people in the house all day, 2nd TV just before lock down, wireless keyboard for schoolwork on DD's tablet, shuttlecocks, Crocs for kids, shelves. A lovely friend has loaned us a laptop for DS's schoolwork (left on the doorstep).

Overall we have spent less. We will need all new school uniforms and shoes when the DC go back, they had almost outgrown them.

Coffeecak3 · 25/04/2020 07:58

A greenhouse for dh's birthday.
A new charger for the lap top.
Cards and gifts for wider family birthdays.
Food, wine.
Lots of plants and seeds.
Compost.
Paint.

My dd had a lot of wood ordered and is remodelling her kitchen. Her reasoning if she likes it great, if not she hasn't spent much and it's given her something to do whilst furloughed.
