Obviously food, also wine, lager, a couple of magazines, compost and plants all from supermarket.

DH ordered some essential gadget for work. I ordered a pair of sandles (had same ones two years ago and they were so comfortable) and DD some shorts for running. Desperately need some summer slippers. Feel bad about ordering these as it's increasing contact for others, but I guess they have to work, so had a dilemma.

This isn't a judgemental thread, but out of interest.

Omg, what hasn't dh ordered!

Let's see...take away x 2, sit/stand desk, outside heater, kitchen dining table and chair, armchair and footstool, bookcase and a few other little things.

It's like he's singlehandedly trying to keep our economy going 🙄

DroppedBoxxedRuth · 24/04/2020 11:34

Dining table and chairs, plural, not just one!

TeaAndBiscuits666 · 24/04/2020 11:35

Loads, I spent a fortune the first couple of weeks but have slowed down now.

For DD:

  • trampoline
  • Wii console & games (eBay)
  • work books
  • reading books
  • stationary

For baby (due soon):

  • mattress
  • clothes
  • paint for nursery

For garden:

  • small tools
  • paint

I think we're mostly sorted now, but I was in a bit of a panic to begin with, so did lots of ordering in case things took a long time to arrive.

GuyFawkesDay · 24/04/2020 11:35

Gardening stuff from local nursery (pay over phone, they drop on the drive)

Chromebook for DS birthday gift. And Moonpig cards.

Crafty/art things for kids from Amazon

Sandals for DD as got nothing but boots and trainers. I may well treat myself to some saltwater ones next week on payday.

Ink for printer. I'm printing workbooks for kids I teach without internet access and ran out.

Some paints. Because I have always wanted to try watercolour painting.

PlugUgly1980 · 24/04/2020 11:38

Garden toys from amazon and asda
Arts and crafts kits, paint, glue, etc
Summer clothes from George for DD age 6
Jogging bottoms for DS age 4
Socks and pants for both DC - they need to stop growing!!
Smart turbo trainer for DH (an upgrade to his current one)
Wood stain for garden furniture
Lego - gift from grandparents they asked us to buy
Sun cream from Boots online
Some vest tops for me

RedskyAtnight · 24/04/2020 11:38

Mostly just food.
The only other things I can think of are a headset for DH and some orthodontic elastics for DD.

We do have a (not that long actually) list of things we want to buy when physical shops are open again though!

vanillandhoney · 24/04/2020 11:39

Paint for redecorating the living room.
Scented candles.
Bits for DH's bike.
Clothes.

Otherwise just food and toiletries etc.

GetTheSprinkles · 24/04/2020 11:39

Things my growing baby needs: playpen, bigger clothes, developmental toys, weaning spoons... Also some vegan chocolate for me that you can't get in the supermarket. Limiting supermarket shops to once a week but it's tough!

fishonabicycle · 24/04/2020 11:40

Some side plates and mugs. 3 jigsaws

Iwannatellyouastory · 24/04/2020 11:45

Vitamin B12 tablets as GP stopping doing injections. Cables and bits for laptop to be able to wfh. Some DIY bits as started a big project before lockdown and need to finish it. Fabric face masks. DH ordered a SIM card as losing work mobile as is being made redundant.
No treats as yet but really need new bras so may order them, very generous in the bust area so usually need to order them online anyway.

thismeansnothing · 24/04/2020 11:50

Except food.

For DD1(8) a junior dictionary and junior thesaurus from amazon. Chalks from the supermarket. And some Summer clothes from sainsburys. Change of seasons and nothing from last year remotely fitted. Hair dye.

DD2(1) some summer clothes from an independent online scandi store.

DH - a Bluetooth mouse (working from home and the laptop mouse pad was driving him to distraction). Clippers

Me - some pick n mix from a local independent sweet shop that's now doing deliveries to keep afloat

MamaJoon · 24/04/2020 11:51

I've just had to buy a lock for my fridge

JemimaPuddleCat · 24/04/2020 11:59

Some stuff for the garden whilst at the supermarket - plants, compost, solar lights. A paddling pool. A gazebo (still waiting for delivery) Currently in the B&Q queue for a few things.

Two laptops Hmm

A hoodie from the US for DD2s birthday next month

Yarn

Pretty much bought everything as normal that we wanted/needed. We are extremely lucky because our income hasn't been affected ( DH is NHS and is being paid to WFH as he's not a clinician and if he got sick he would be paid). So we have bought clothes and shoes we wanted. Bought birthday presents, cards, food, gadgets ( coffee grinder as could only get beans not ground!). We pretty much buy everything online anyway because we are miles away from proper shops. Food shopping up to this week via precooked tesco slots. But struggling to get new slots even though DD is in shielded group. Done click and collect orders for butcher and baker. I think we are very lucky.

Sooverthemill · 24/04/2020 12:05

Oh and a sun lounger! Everything taking ages to come but that's okay

ifonly4 · 24/04/2020 15:44

HavenDilemma - they're Earth Spirit, not obviouisly fashionable but I can just put them on, so comfortable. I ordered them from Shoe Zone, you can return them or wait until it reopens as they give 12 months to return instore.

HopeYouStepOnALego · 24/04/2020 15:53

Aside from groceries we've ordered:

DH - creosote for the fence that he's not used yet; also new tyres/tubes for his bike which he's been out on once (it's been in the shed for years!)
Me - some bags of salt blocks for the water softener (used click and collect at B&Q); some chiropody sponges (after seeing a recommendation on another MN thread)
My 2 DDs - clothes and make up. All dressed up and nowhere to go! Also some Wii fitness games, and Disney+

Valkadin · 24/04/2020 15:58

A day bed sort of thing as I was very ill and DH out it in the conservatory so I could recover as comfortably as possible. A thermometer as I broke ours.

isittheholidaysyet · 24/04/2020 16:02

Online:
Two orders of school books for home schooling.
Shorts for DD(9)
Trainers for me. (My others broke and wearing my old shoes was giving me serious back ache)
Toy for DD. Toy for DS(10) no excuse for those.

Whilst in supermarket buying groceries, have bought 2 pairs of shorts for DS(15), jumper for DD, wood glue, replacement kettle, replacement headphones, and a new book.

Vintagevixen · 24/04/2020 16:09

Skincare stuff and shampoo.
Groceries.
New iPad for DD.
School books for DD maths and English/reading books for me.
New fridge/freezer and washing machine as I've just moved house and been without one for a week, so pleased to have had it delivered today (via back door into conservatory so contactless.) Just have to look up how to plumb the washing machine in on YouTube now 😂

happypotamus · 24/04/2020 16:19

Other than food and toiletries:
summer clothes for DC
birthday presents for DC1
an anniversary card for DH
paddling pool
DH bought something to fix his computer with
bubble wands
birthday wrapping paper
vitamins for DC
this term's class reading book for DC1

okiedokieme · 24/04/2020 16:21

Groceries, wine, gin, a gel cover for my bike seat. Trying to be sensible as my income has dropped

2beautifulbabs · 24/04/2020 16:27

Books toys shoes for DCs during lockdown stuff they have needed essential and stuff to keep them entertained.

As PP have said the economy still needs to keep going and help support people and keep their jobs

beebeedandelion · 24/04/2020 16:42

Two small garden tables
Kitchen scales
Supplies for school work - paper, pens, printer ink.

merryhouse · 24/04/2020 16:49

normal food - including bread and Yorkshires mix because we can't get flour
soap, toothpaste, paracetamol and shaving gel
Easter eggs, marzipan, extra dried fruit
17yo spent birthday money on the rest of the Witcher books

I think that's it. We each have a laptop, we have loads of Stuff To Do and already had this year's seeds. Birthday cards came from the box of generic cards in the study Grin
