New leader. Good news, but wish Lisa Nandy could have been deputy.

This is great news for Labour and for the country. As of today, we have a functioning opposition for the first time in years.

AgeLikeWine I know it's a separate contest, but I was just wishing that the runner-up could be deputy. But now I see Lisa wasn't runner-up! Was so sure she would be.

Corbyn and his minions made it impossible for me to ever consider a vote for Labour. Starmer is more centrist, he is clever and switched on, and will lead an effective opposition.

Can't stand Angela Rayner but she's second fiddle anyway.
