(I appreciate some of you won't have the time for crafty stuff before anyone even bothers...)

I fancy trying something new but can't make up my mind - we do have a lot of varied craft supplies in the house already.

What are you making/doing at the mo? :)

I knitted some sleeping bag cover things with pillows for GDs dolls house, prepped a room for decorating but no paint yet and started a puzzle. I have also planted some seeds in the greenhouse.

MulticolourMophead · 31/03/2020 20:22

I'm trying to finish some projects around wfh. A baby blanket (for whenever we can see eventually see baby), a decorative banner (wooden flower shapes with themed fabrics glued on), some pompoms for another banner, some crocheted baskets from string, and a few other crochet projects.

DD and I are also planting up seeds: herbs, sweet peas, alpine strawberries; and bulbs, mostly peony.

PennyNotSoWise · 31/03/2020 20:40

I'm doing some cross stitching. Makes the days go a little faster 😊

IamJackFmsmysterywoman · 31/03/2020 21:06

Greetings fellow crafting Mumsnetters. I have removed my cloaking device in order to say hello and to say that I am using this time to finish off outstanding craft projects that have been languishing in the craft bag , whispering- please finish me.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 31/03/2020 21:08

Just knitting squares for Woolly Hugs, can’t concentrate on doing anything else, might make some bath melts at the weekend

lucysmam · 31/03/2020 21:27

@FiveGoMadInDorset how do you make bath melts?

Made myself a spring like tote bag, in yellows and pale blues. Tomorrow I think I'll do a zip up makeup bag. Really enjoying having some time to be honest. I'm working til lunchtime from home, having an hour or so in the garden and then crafting.

Sgtmajormummy · 31/03/2020 21:43

Using up my stash fabrics. You only need a fat quarter for each colour and an hour of your time.
I also made a scrappy heart with 2.5 inch squares.

@eosmum that's pretty. I can't crochet; I wind up with odd bits around my fingers & all sorts Hmm

@BlessYourCottonSocks I do have quite a varied stash of fabric; wonder if there's enough of anything to make myself a bag! I've never made one before. Was it difficult?

I have a few spring loaded toggles to make shopping bags that stuff into their own corner once the string across the corner is pulled tight. Just a bit of ribbon or tape would do for the channel.

Or this rucksack/shopping bag combo.
It all depends how long we’re locked down for....

I'm knitting a red Welsh dragon. I was sorry I hadn't finished it in time for DDs school Eisteddfod, so it will be ready for next year!
After that, continue with my "knitivity"!

ifIwerenotanandroid · 31/03/2020 22:04

eosmum

Beautiful!

SherlocksDeerstalker · 31/03/2020 22:04

I’m making a load more of these trolley covers - they seem to be going like hot cakes at the minute. Can’t think why... Grin

Apart from that, struggling to get time with the kids being home. I’d love to see your dragon, HP.

livingmyslothlife · 31/03/2020 22:07

Knitting a cardigan for me. It's a very simple pattern so nice to be mindlessly doing something.

TreacleMoon123 · 31/03/2020 22:08

Hoping to start a 2d needle felting landscape this week. Just waiting for supplies to be delivered.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 31/03/2020 22:10

Trying to grow some seeds for the garden, new to me and I generally have a black thumb so we'll see how that goes.

Making dolls houses and baby doll accessories with DD

Sewing scrub caps for the local hospital using up some of my fabric stash

Crocheting squares for my blanket while on long conference calls for work.

BlessYourCottonSocks · 31/03/2020 22:13

@lucysmamm no, it was pretty simple to be honest.I just googled a YouTube video and found a young Dutch lady making one with a red bottom and a patterned top. I know that sounds odd but I thought it might help you find the right video.Grin. I'll try and post a photo of mine but I'm on a Kindle.

PickAChew · 31/03/2020 22:13

I'm finish g off, too. Or rather, t'woo.

Abandoned one of these, halfway through the owls, 8 years ago. Just a couple of rounds of neck band off finishing it, now.

Face masks for the family and other vulnerable people we know I know it's all up in the air if they work or not but it makes me and the people I've given them to feel better and if it helps a tiny bit then it's worth it.

Then lots of paper crafting projects - suitcase, file folder box and some other cute gift boxes which are mostly being used to store my own stuff in at home.

Oh and I found some plain wood discs so I used posca pens to make cute coasters with bunnys.

Have treated myself to attic24 coast ripple kit as want to imagine I'm going to Dorset in the Summer...

ineedaholidaynow · 31/03/2020 22:14

Trying to complete a number of cross stitch projects that have been on the go for some time. Find it very therapeutic.

Might even start some Christmas decoration projects I have bought over the years and have never got round to making Blush
