(I appreciate some of you won't have the time for crafty stuff before anyone even bothers...)

I fancy trying something new but can't make up my mind - we do have a lot of varied craft supplies in the house already.

What are you making/doing at the mo? :)

I'm knitting a pair of socks (for me, finally - have made loads for other people!) and a blanket/throw for an armchair. The latter is a super easy pattern (squares of knit/purl, but knitted all in one piece) so I can do it in front of the tv. Even so, I made a mistake yesterday and to undo 4 loooong rows! Angry

Using up Fat Quarters to make scrub hats for the NHS. If anyone has material and time here is a facebook page to the group.

I was trying to finish my knitting WIP's, but I saw an appeal yesterday for people to make scrubs for the local hospitals. I'm not sure I'm going to manage the full outfit but I reckon I might be able to manage the hats when DH isn't working at the table and the kids don't need entertained.

I can't believe I had a clearout of both my fabric stash and old duvet covers just before this all kicked off.

I love my sock yarn. Can't wait to get this pair finished and wear them, but I'm not even at the heel turn of sock 1 yet. I'm a slow knitter!

Ooh, that's pretty lazy, what yarn is that?

KatyaZamolodchikova · 01/04/2020 17:00

Ooh gorgeous yarn @lazylinguist!

I’m knitting a baby blanket and cardigan for my hairdressers baby. I have only one and a half sleeves to do but for reasons unknown find sleeves really boring. The blanket is circular and needs no concentration so just dipping in and out of that while watching tv, but doing some while on conference calls and my hands are free like a PP mentioned is a pretty good call!!

Oh wow everyone! What a talented lot.

MayTheGodsBeEverInYourFavour · 01/04/2020 19:06

I am knitting a hat for DD, for school. It's actually a baby hat pattern that I've adjusted. I don't have the paper pattern at the moment, only the most recent hat, so I'm copying that. But it needs sizing up so I'm making further adjustments as I go.

Im part way through a crochet snoopy. I did his head and now I’ve got bored, will be a long term project I think.

PickAChew · 01/04/2020 19:27

@MaJoady I love embroidery but I can't hold the needle any more :(

DeadButDelicious · 01/04/2020 20:44

Thank you @lucysmam it's coming along! Slowly but surely!

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 01/04/2020 20:46

PickAChew have you seen the magic embroidery pens? I thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't. I haven't used them but they seem interesting.

PickAChew · 01/04/2020 22:34

I've had a look, flavia but they don't look nearly as satisfying as executing a perfect French knot or some lovely, even satin stitch.

MashedSpud · 01/04/2020 22:40

I’m crocheting a Hello Kitty toy.

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 01/04/2020 23:21

Fair enough PickAChew

Ooh, that's pretty lazy, what yarn is that?

It's Debbie Bliss Rialto Luxury Sock. I have a ball in blueish colours too.

Shosha1 - 14 pairs Shock. I think I'm only on my 6th. I initially tried a sock pattern from Ravelry and I just couldn't get the heel flap right. So I bought a 'how to knit socks' book, and since then I'm hooked!
I've just ordered some offensively expensive hand-dyed sock yarn off Etsy too, but am thinking of making something other than socks with it. Maybe some fingerless gloves or a little shawl/wrap.

lazylinguist · 02/04/2020 10:25

Sorry - that post was confusing! The brightly-coloured yarn in my first post was the Debbie Bliss stuff. The pale blue/white skeins in my last post are the expensive yarn from Etsy. I've found a nice fingerless glove pattern on Ravelry to use it for. Annoyingly it's only in German. Fortunately I speak German, but I don't know knitting terminology in German! Time to get on Google Translate!

RestYourHead · 02/04/2020 10:41

Dot art. Been doing it for a while now, had a load of stock ready for an Easter Fair but of course it has been cancelled. So now I am working on some canvases, just for fun.

Atm it's bloody slime and we are currently making a HuGe book about "our family" so we start of with shapes and colours etc so they do some learning then we slowly turn into pictures of family they love it

TakeMeToYourLiar · 02/04/2020 10:55

I've just finished a planned pooling crochet scarf for my mum.

I've got the yarn to do a double size moorland blanket from Attic 24, that's going to keep me busy!
