I'm self isolating with a cold (as far as you can when you have kids who keep wanting to see you)... so entertain me... this thread is light hearted please so exaggerate them all you like Only on day 2 and ready to cry

I'll start

I am very distressed, in fact utterly distraught because Gousto have just emailed me to say they can't get enough balsamic vinegar to go with my recipes so they're sending me red wine vinegar instead... my world is ruined.

I can't find my kindle. I'm sure it's in my bedroom but have looked everywhere. I have the charger and know it's definitely in the house. Usually I'd just buy a book. Where is it?

Aw the birthday dog made me smile! Happy 4th Birthday pup! 🐶

My Botox appointment this week is obviously cancelled and my gel polish manicure/pedicure seem to be growing out as I look at them I swear!

That and we received Coconut milk in place of Desiccated Coconut in our grocery delivery! Also they sent not as nice Olives as I ordered.

These things are sent to try us.

The building work for my second home by the coast has been indefinitely paused. And The Walking Dead won't be filming the season finale until later in the year. Not sure which upsets me more...

that IS upsetting. TWD has been so good lately!

Dh didnt get me rhubarb and custard sweets when he did the shopping, he got me midget gems.... (seriously how can you get them mixed up they dont even look the same!)... I'm down to 5 rhunard and custard sweets now ... I dont know if our marriage will survive !

Also.... my 7.99 B&M trainers are a year old... he said time for something new and in style....and has ordered me some new Nike trainers, as a treat...apparently I'm really nice and they are really very nice... but my 7.99 bargains are the most comfy shoes I've ever had.... how dare he think about me throwing mine beloved shoes out... even if they do look like I've had them 30 years

I'm enjoying this thread, we clearly all do have significant problems don't we?

I'm my defence, I have terrible IBS and kefir is the one thing I've found which really helps with the bloating and stomach pain. But, yes, I do realise how it sounds. (But it is essential to me!) Could you buy kefir grains online and make your own?

@ALovelyBitOfSquirrel Thank you! He had most of a packet of cold roast chicken instead of a sausage, so he’s not done too badly.

DD2 had to make tuna mornay from scratch as no packet mix in the pantry. Tantrums in the kitchen!
Despite the fact she makes Mac and cheese from scratch all the time,

DH was complaining that we only had fresh chillies, dried chillies and chilli powder, but no chilli oil for his homemade pizzas.

Gousto replaced the sliced chicken breast for one of the recipes we ordered with whole chicken breast. How am I meant to cook my chicken Tom KGA infused with lemongrass, ginger and chilli now?!

Also we're having to use single ply toilet roll. Oh the humanity...

My new bar of floral Italian soap is a bit too long for the soap dish attached to the shower. It has to be balanced across the top of it just right or it will launch itself off and hit me in the boob.

I can't my eyebrow microblade top-up as the salon is closed. And I have nowhere to take my collection of designer handbags so I just have to sit and look at them. Boohooooooo!

DH made my jam on toast for breakfast and got the butter to jam ratio wrong.

@chocolatesaltyballs22 we should start a handbag thread. We could post photos of our bags artfully arranged in various poses with a range of accessories!

The off licence had run out of ice so I've had to dig out the ice cube trays and make the ice myself for our nightly gin and tonics.

My reformer Pilates studio has (obviously) had to close. I've been doing it since January and a) LOVE it and b) was starting to get competent. Bah.

Also having to clean my own house. Was actually quite satisfying doing a 'deep clean' on front room yesterday ... until you then look at the rest of the house.
