Please cheer me up with your first world problems (light hearted)

I'm self isolating with a cold (as far as you can when you have kids who keep wanting to see you)... so entertain me... this thread is light hearted please so exaggerate them all you like Only on day 2 and ready to cry

I'll start

I am very distressed, in fact utterly distraught because Gousto have just emailed me to say they can't get enough balsamic vinegar to go with my recipes so they're sending me red wine vinegar instead... my world is ruined.

DH's first world problem rather than mine, but...

Box of delicious fresh spices arrived from the Spicery. Reckon I have/can obtain everything needed for it, so - instead of being frugal and making a dish here and there - I'll make the whole meal: curry, spring rolls, salad etc as our Easter treat.
Luckily, I have enough ingredients to make double the amount - hurrah!

(Yes, I know I can freeze some bits and gussy up others - and doubtless will - but the sheer ingratitude!
I've spoiled him.
Would LTB but refuse to LT nice pantry and freezer...)

I forgot to include our usual free range, organic whole chicken in our food order so I need to wait until I can get another slot or see if I can get hold of an inferior one elsewhere.

I can't have the storage unit I had my eye on delivered so I can't neatly attack things in my pantry.

My Husband bought utterly butterly.
I'm not a butter snob I'll use anything that's proper butter but this? It just looks awful in it's navy blue box , just glaring back at me all smug that it's been bought in to this house again!. The last pot we had lasted ages because no one would use it even the kids who lick the poles on the bus said it taste like toe grease no idea what that tastes like but

The choice of sandwiches at the petrol station are shit . Even though they're M and S . Went up there to get something to eat on night shift as am currently sleeping in my car between shifts , and ended up with a box of chocolate eclairs , an artisanal sausage roll and two hard boiled eggs . Don't envy my operator tonight 😳

@listsandbudgets Have mine ! There's a bottle on my list of substitutions. I asked for Balsamic Drizzle.

@Whitney168 I have managed to rent a reformer from my studio so I can keep going at home. Maybe ask?

My hair needs cutting and the hairdresser is down on the calendar for next week. Wont be having it done as we are set distancing. it was 9 weeks ago that I had the last cut. A few more weeks and I will be unable to put my head out of the door.

My gels nails were due for an infill but the salon closed. I picked them all off and now have very rough nails. In an attempt to smooth them I have painted them myself. My nails now look like a toddler had been set loose with a bottle of nail polish. This is not the sleek polished look I normally enjoy. Just as well I'm not going anywhere soon.

My husband has already told me not to get a reformer @SnowsInWater LOL - plus I would want to rent an instructor with it LOL.

(I'd want a proper studio reformer anyway, and would have nowhere to put it ... he feared me buying a home one.)

I can’t make us a seafood pasta because I have no fish, seafood or king prawns.

I can’t make us Korean fried chicken, because I haven’t got a whole chicken.

I can’t make us peanut butter brownies because my DH doesn’t like brownies and I don’t want to eat it all myself.

I'm nearly out of Earl Grey tea and I can't get any more.

I’ve accidentally grown literally a mountain of rhubarb.

So I’ve tied it in bundles and take some to each of my neighbours, with two recipes each in envelopes- crumble and rhubarb daiquiris

I can’t get dh prioritised at Waitrose, or anywhere else & we're having to eat food from Sainsburys.

Dh is complaining a lot at dinner.

We managed to get a very fortunate food delivery yesterday. DP was disappointed that the baked beans substitution were Heinz and not his usual Branston
