What do you wish you’d done before lockdown?

1. Sorted out and fenced our front garden so we had somewhere outside to sit not in full view of the neighbours
2. Had a bikini wax
3. Had my acrylic nails removed
4. Encouraged DP to get a haircut before it was too late. His hair grows ridiculously fast and he won’t let me touch it

1. take rubbish to the tip
2. bought some paint so I could decorate to take away the monotony.
3. bought top soil and plants so I could start on my out door project.

Jesus being at home is boring!

@LIZS you can also get blephasol on prescription - can you still buy eye masks on amazon? They really help too. Good luck!

Got my highlights redone! I have a hairdresser’s appointment in April but obviously I’m assuming that won’t happen now.

Visited my parents.
Bought wallpaper and paint to do our hall, stairs and landing.
Bought plants to do my hanging baskets
Had my sons haircut

My Dad's funeral.
Scattered his ashes.

Had a hair cut. I’d already left it way too long before we went into lockdown. I’m currently trying to decide whether I can do it myself with the kitchen scissors and a YouTube video, or if I should just tie it up everyday and rest assured that no one will see me anyway!!

Raided B&Q and Wickes. I have a long list of little jobs we’ve been putting off for years. The whole house needs re paining too. It would have kept me occupied, and DH out of my hair for weeks!

I wish I hadn't cancelled my dentist appointment. as I'm pretty sure I'm starting with a toothache and I've been reading on the Coronavirus section that dentists won't be seeing anyone for the foreseeable and it's made me panic.
I had terrible dental abcesses as a teenager and the idea of anyone suffering like that with no access to emergency dental treatment sounds horrendous.

Got my son a haircut. He looks like a mushroom. Hugged my mum and dad.

Bought a fresh bag of sandpit sand, and gone to see my family. We haven’t been since Christmas, all for sound reasons, but I miss them.

Had my holiday of a lifetime. We have it planned and booked for October this year, but it seems very unlikely to happen, as we won't get travel insurance to cover CV. We'll lose the large deposit too.

We didn't go away last year in anticipation, so haven't had a holiday for over a year.

Oh and a haircut.

Hugged my mum, learned how to clip the dog properly, bought paint

Pre-empted problems with bin collections.
Seen Father.
Insisted on Father having an Ocado delivery pass.
Had steroid injection in knee.

Had a haircut.
Had a ‘date’ with dp he’s a key worker (as I am on maternity until end of May though) so we’ve been distant for nearly two weeks now to avoid children getting ill.

Seen my parents and my sister and her family. I would love to hug my family

There's only a couple of things I'd wished I'd done (buying paint for .mdf/laminate stuff, getting some plants) but I am overjoyed that we were not able to get a builder to commit to knocking the kitchen and dining room together & getting the kitchen replaced.

I’ve started leaking all over the place and can’t buy them anywhere now

Oh and I wish I'd been able to have a steroid injection in my shoulder as I an in a lot of pain as it's freezing. Goodness knows what state it'll be in by the time I can see a specialist again

I wish I'd got some plants in to do the garden. It's all tidied up now but looks bare.

I wish I'd gotten more beans. Hubby won't stop moaning that he has none. I'm going to slap him!

Bought a house. We’re now stuck in our rented for the foreseeable.

I wish I'd stopped the builders from ripping out our kitchen as now we have none for the foreseeable. Not the easiest with a 1 and 4 yo.

@NemophilistRebel can you order some reusable ones from amazon? I have a few sets, they’re pretty good.
