Looking forward to some interesting store cupboard creations!

Ours is nachos with pulled pork on top with Mexican spiced (probably completely inauthentic) rice. Pork and rice both from previous meals and out of the freezer, will add a tin of sweetcorn and maybe kidney beans depending on whether it looks enough (large family)

Crisps and dips bought this week as they were pretty much the only aisles that still contained food.

Carb heavy but I don’t care, I’ve had to cancel my wedding 😭

Pasta and meatballs here tonight.

Cheeseburger and chips and coleslaw. DH currently cooking it- yum!

Pie from local shop with buttered potatoes, peas and gravy tonight

We're having Long John, no idea why it's called that, apparently it was a wartime rationing cheap dish and I haven't had it for years.
Thinly sliced old potatoes, onion and corned beef layered up in a deep dish. Cover with beef stock (cube).
Oven for about 90 minutes. Old fashioned comfort food!

We're having takeaway curry but now I fancy Long John

Lancashire hotpot from scratch to last tonight and tomorrow. Trying to cram veg in so it's a side of mashed sweet potato and sugar snap peas. Pudding will be Yeo Valley Blueberry yoghurt- even if blueberries aren't your thing, try it, it's amazing!

Greek salad with grilled chicken breast!

Ooh Long John sounds like a guilty pleasure . We are having steak, homemade chips, peas and mushrooms and eating outside in the garden. Then a board game afterwards .

Long John was awesome, why is it 15 years or so since I last made it?
Half an hour to go to a drinks for birthday zoom for my bro, he thinks just us and him.
When we let him in there will be 8 other couples in there and we all have song words!!!

Spring rolls and Chicken tikka in the slow cooker with vegetable pilau rice, roasted baby potatoes with a cucumber yoghurt and mint raita

Made risotto for lunch, with green salad, garlic bread and leftover roast chicken for DC to add to theirs (vegetarian DH)
Delish and now won’t have to cook again today, though may have made a rash promise about scones for tea...

We have mince left and an emergency pack of taco shells. Beef tacos it is then

DS is cooking lamb breast in onions, olives, wine and tomatoes and Greek style roast potatoes. Will have it with tenderstem broccoli and mange tout.

DD has made a mahoosive slab of millionaires shortbread so that will be pudding.

DS1 likes sausage casserole but is not so fond of sausage stew.

Lamb kebabs, roasted peppers, onions, baby potatoes for us tonight

Roast gammon glazed with honey and whole grain mustard. Roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, broccoli, cauli and green beans with lashings of gravy.

Steak burgers from the butchers (they are to die for!), in nice fluffy cobs with cheese, burger relish, potato wedges, coleslaw and salad. Smells delicious and I can’t wait!

We’re having beef tacos and a Mexican bean salad.
