We are having takeaway of some sort as after several days of no-one eating my food I told DH I would slit my wrists if i had to cook for the rest of the week.

Probably Indian for DH and I (a lamb something for me) and fish and chips for the Dcs. Very useful having both those shops next to each other.

Pasty and chips. It's one of those rushed days and I really fancied a pasty.

AdaColeman · 04/03/2020 16:02

Dover sole baked with lemon, then apricot tart. Wine Wine

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 04/03/2020 16:03

Noodles, broccoli, green beans, yellow pepper, leftover roast chicken. I will add stir fry sauce to mine. The children will eat food devoid of flavour, as usual.

Sexnotgender · 04/03/2020 16:03

Burnt aubergine chilli.

Lsquiggles · 04/03/2020 16:03

Pie, mash and veg... Mid-numbingly boring in my opinion and would much rather a takeaway Grin but we're trying to only have one a month Envy

EdersonsSmileyTattoo · 04/03/2020 16:04

Homemade salt & pepper chicken with whole grain rice and prawn crackers Smile

mbosnz · 04/03/2020 16:12

If the cat ever gets off my lap, shepherd's pie, with carrots, asparagus and beans.

If not, pizza.

That sounds right posh! Special night?

HerRoyalCarbyLess · 04/03/2020 16:18

Sausages (heck pork sausage) cauliflower and Swede mash, broccoli and asparagus (DD wanted asparagus, I was just going to do broccoli)
Gluten free and low carb Grin (DS2 is coeliac)

BahMooQuack · 04/03/2020 16:18

Falafel and tabboleh with meringues for dessert-all vegan as we are fasting now for lent :)

sockittome123 · 04/03/2020 16:21

Fish cake and waffles Blush

In my defence, I am in a rush!

namesneeded · 04/03/2020 16:22

I made a lentil, spinach and coconut dhal yesterday, and served it with naan breads. Didn't taste like much, nobody enjoyed it, and there's about 400 portions left so we are having it for tea again tonight Grin

sockittome123 · 04/03/2020 16:22

avyasili Vegan meringues? How? It's not that crazy chickpea trick is it?

DancingQueen2018 · 04/03/2020 16:25

Pasta bar for the kids (I have 5 extra so needed something easy).

Corgette stuffed chicken for me and DH.

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 04/03/2020 16:28

Mushroom risotto. I've got white wine open so some for the risotto and some for me!

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 04/03/2020 16:36

Chicken thigh and chorizo casserole with carrots and broccoli as sides, I'm trying very hard to not automatically have mashed potatoes as a side to everything. Its years and years of meat and two veg dinners. (no convenience foods or easy quick dinners in my childhood) yesterday, as I dished out mashed potatoes with cabbage and broccoli with breaded cod and cheese sauce, I realised that every dinner for the last two weeks was mashed potatoe heavy :( lots of tomato and peppers in casserole, hoping I dont miss the mash.

Mrsjayy · 04/03/2020 16:41

Replace mash with swede/turnip and carrot that's what I do if I fancy a change

Mrsjayy · 04/03/2020 16:43

Or roast baby potatoes I know how easy it is to fall into the mash trap

BahMooQuack · 04/03/2020 16:54

I have been having a bit of cous cous lately because I wanted to get out the of the mash rut.

Macaroni cheese with leeks for me and my husband. Pesto with macaroni for the boy who refuses to eat melty cheese.

happymummy12345 · 04/03/2020 17:00

We are having a takeaway later, not sure what yet. Not sure what ds will have, about to ask him now (didn't realise it's already 5..)

Flavarings · 04/03/2020 17:03

Cheese burger, chunky wedges and Slaw (because you know cole is off duty today!)

Mrsjayy · 04/03/2020 17:09

Doesn't pesto have cheese in it ? Or does he not mind/know that cos it isn't melty
