Been geeking this morning on the number of flights having to go around

Noticed several Gatwick and Luton flights diverting to Stanstead

Check out DI7018 JFK- Gatwick

Two attempts at Gatwick, seemed to be heading for Stanstead, but now the Norwegian airlines crew seem to be taking everyone home with them!

I like Flightradar24 but how can you tell when a plane lands or circles please?

Just remember....there are people on those images.....

It is fascinating to watch though.

@edgewater the line will go white if it has landed, yellow and green will mean its had to circle

I’ve never noticed the little grey rectangles on airport until today - are they a particular type of ground vehicle?

It looks a bit like Luton is closed on the app

What happened to the 2166?

It is reportedly raining at Gatwick now and the wind is 23 knots across the runway gusting 35..if when/that increases an/or the runway becomes properly wet that's going to be outside of crosswind limits for a few types very shortly.

I gave BA2166 a little clap from my bed .

DH currently at work at Gatwick and is claiming although it’s not nice the weather isn’t too terrible currently, although perhaps he’s not been near a window for awhile
