Been geeking this morning on the number of flights having to go around

Noticed several Gatwick and Luton flights diverting to Stanstead

Check out DI7018 JFK- Gatwick

Two attempts at Gatwick, seemed to be heading for Stanstead, but now the Norwegian airlines crew seem to be taking everyone home with them!

Me and ds have loved tracking all the flights from USA/ transatlantic.

Take off 30 minutes late.

Land. 1 hour early.

Gotta love the jet stream if your in a hurry. And not a nervous flyer Grin

Virgin flight VS58 Bridgetown-LGW just tried and failed to land at Gatwick. Not sure if it’s going round again or going elsewhere.

This thread has made my morning! I usually just use the app to see what’s passing overhead, you guys have opened up a whole new world to me!

Had an hour knocked off the flight coming back from Antigua a couple of weeks ago - we were thrilled to be back early but was a bit of a bumpy ride!

BA2166 is out of hold - another attempt at landing?

BabbleBee · 09/02/2020 08:58

Yep, he’s going in!!

misspepper · 09/02/2020 08:58

I'm switching between flight24 and LGW arrivals board, the Norwegian 7016 made the crossing pretty quick sadly now diverted.

AlphaVTango · 09/02/2020 08:59

Lining up for a 4th attempt.....fingers crossed.

chomalungma · 09/02/2020 09:00

Leeds airport will be interesting this morning....

megletthesecond · 09/02/2020 09:03

BA2166 from Tampa still circling and trying to land at Gatwick.

AlphaVTango · 09/02/2020 09:06

Touchdown! My legs would like jelly right now.

bookworm14 · 09/02/2020 09:06

BA2166 seems to have landed. Must have been petrifying for the passengers.

MrsFezziwig · 09/02/2020 09:06

Think BA2166 has landed.

Oldraver · 09/02/2020 09:07

Oh I never heard the plane land at Brize

itsgettingweird · 09/02/2020 09:07

Glad I'm not the only one with Gatwick arrivals page open too
!

SillyBub · 09/02/2020 09:07

Third time lucky for BA2166. I've taken that flight, landing at LGW on a Sunday morning, countless times. Thankfully landed safely first time each time!

BabbleBee · 09/02/2020 09:08

I’m about 45 mins away from Gatwick and it isn’t quite as gusty at the moment - if it’s the same or similar there I think they’ll get the next 3 big ones in...

chomalungma · 09/02/2020 09:08

Take a look at VIR58

Having fun at Gatwick

Longdistance · 09/02/2020 09:08

The Wizzair Katowice flight had to land at Stansted in the end.

MrsFezziwig · 09/02/2020 09:09

I’m a nervous flyer too, and Flightradar helps by demonstrating the thousands of planes happily going about their business without issue - glad I’m not flying today though!

lyralalala · 09/02/2020 09:10

I bet the people on BA2166 clapped in the end

Tbh, I’d rather have been on the one that diverted to Copenhagen. Four attempts would have been horrible

The Puerto vallarta to manchester is really trying

MrsFezziwig · 09/02/2020 09:12

BA2276 and VS58 coming in.

lyralalala · 09/02/2020 09:13

FR3407 is making some pretty patterns on the radar app

Looks like it's a Luton-Stanstead divert

BA2276 got within about a thousand feet but is pulling up again.
