I know how to say ‘I am 13 years old’ I’m now 32 and count up to 10 in German.

That’s all I can remember from my German lessons in school.

I too can wire a plug .
I find it easy to learn the words to songs ( but can not hold a tune at all )
I can keep up with and know all the words to Billy Joel's We Didn't Start The Fire

AlCalavicci · 02/02/2020 03:52

@ChocolateEmergency & @InkogKneeToe ah but can that chicken feed five adults , three kids and still have enough left over for butties the following day Grin Grin

YicketyYackMamasBack · 02/02/2020 03:54

I know the entire alphabet in sign language.. and please and thank you.

Imagine having to spell out every single word to communicate.

namechange1041 · 02/02/2020 03:56

I can spread my toes out without touching them, including my pinky toes Grin

nuttymoon · 02/02/2020 03:58

I can count to ten in Japanese, sing how much is that doggy in the window in Spanish and open door handles with my feet. Fairly sure I won't be putting those on my cv.

IDontDrinkTea · 02/02/2020 04:00

I know how to say “I’ve forgotten my homework” in German. Nothing else, just that. Perhaps if I ever did my homework I’d have learnt to say something else too

nuttymoon · 02/02/2020 04:00

@AlCalavicci I can do that with we we didn't start the fire, fancy a duet ?

sashh · 02/02/2020 04:21

I know the entire alphabet in sign language.. and please and thank you.

I was fairly fluent in BSL, but I can also do the deaf-blind and American SL alphabets.

YicketyYackMamasBack · 02/02/2020 04:29

@sashh

I grew up with a friend who’s entire family were deaf. So I learnt a fair bit from them, so much so that we set up an after school club to teach other kids how to sign.

We eventually grew apart and I’ve forgotten it all as I’ve grown older. I would really love to learn it again as I find it incredibly rewarding when you can help someone who would otherwise have some difficulty communicating.

Shev1996 · 02/02/2020 04:38

Holidaying in Wales as a child we learnt how to tell people “hope you don’t stand in any cow shit” in Welsh. My greatest accomplishment 😂

RLOU30 · 02/02/2020 04:43

I can sing “how much is that doggy in the window” backwards Grin

RLOU30 · 02/02/2020 04:44

@namechange1041 ooo so can I, although my friend once said my toes were like little fingers.. tingers Blush

ScorchioScorchio · 02/02/2020 04:47

I can tie a bow tie. I have to re-teach my husband every time he wears one.

Coldhandscoldheart · 02/02/2020 04:52

When you say backwards, do you mean the tune backwards and the words backwards? Or just the verses in reverse order?

nuttymoon · 02/02/2020 04:52

Is it just me who wants to know how to I hope you do stand in cow shit in Welsh?

sashh · 02/02/2020 05:20

YicketyYackMamasBack

It's useful in other situations too, having a conversation with someone in the car behind you or someone across the road.

Actually it mostly gets used in pubs when the person at the bar needs to know the table number.

JolieOBrien · 02/02/2020 05:24

Complete a rubik cube ... pointless really

AlCalavicci · 02/02/2020 05:41

@nuttymoon Go for it but excuse my shocking tone

AlCalavicci · 02/02/2020 05:45

I have just discovered how to make something very close to the taste of maltesers thanks to this great thread . ( a genuinely funny thread too )

MiniGuinness · 02/02/2020 05:56

I can count in binary on my fingers. I can also say the alphabet backwards - learned that from Why Don’t You..? I bloody loved that show.

GaaaaarlicBread · 02/02/2020 06:02

@YicketyYackMamasBack you don’t have to spell out every word to communicate . I can tell you that as a deaf person who uses BSL . We have sign words , you don’t have to finger spell 🥰 but thank you for knowing some sign ! It always makes me smile when I know people can sign some things !

AlCalavicci · 02/02/2020 06:06

@YicketyYackMamasBack fancy seeing you round here Grin

nuttymoon · 02/02/2020 06:08

@AlCalavicci wait til you hear mine Grin

Gumbo · 02/02/2020 06:12

I can recite the nursery rhyme 'Three Blind Mice' in Zulu Hmm
Other than as a party trick, I can safely say I'll never use it...

ChidiAnagonye · 02/02/2020 06:15

I know the chorus of a Gaelic milking song.
