Just a quiet place to sit. If you want to gloat or opinionate about Corbyn please go over to AIBU.

"im emotional for the people the Labour Party was meant to help"

Jess Phillips.

youcanonlydraftthefuture · 13/12/2019 01:56

Could someone fill me in? Is it looking like Conservative will win? Is there 0 hope her for labour?

I'm up ironing and very tired so can't function to simply check myself Blush

StarbucksSmarterSister · 13/12/2019 01:56

Vashta me too. I keep thinking about the homeless and those on benefits. People just don't care because they think "it could never happen to me".

BrexitMakeItStop · 13/12/2019 01:57

I feel devastated. They just lied and lied and nobody gave a shit. They've rewarded then for avoiding scrutiny. They'll reap the consequences, but first the gloating. I despise these Tories. This is the most right wing govt and with a majority like this, will do untold damage.

But hey, such a relief about the school fees. So pleased for that poster, never mind about all the other kids coming to school hungry and cold. Fuck them, eh, they aren't yours.

BrexitMakeItStop · 13/12/2019 01:58

Sorry. Quiet place. I got angry.

VashtaNerada · 13/12/2019 01:59

I don’t know what to do now. It’s going to be so hard to go to school tomorrow and do a day’s teaching. I don’t know how to answer the questions from my class or from my own children. I don’t have the answers. I know that it’s going to be so much harder to get through if I’m exhausted but I just can’t sleep knowing what’s happened. Every time I close my eyes it hits me again Sad

Grenfell

Windrush.

The "othering of social housing tenants.

Ill people being found fit for work.

managedmis · 13/12/2019 02:03

Have to admit I'm shocked at all this. Watching from abroad and I'm amazed at how short sighted people are.

We're back to Lord and serfdom

managedmis · 13/12/2019 02:04

Grenfell :

Prime example of government etc not giving a fuck.

@Lissjas - Well lucky you. How fortunate you are that you are privileged enough to have a DD at private school. Fuck the rest of us with our already seriously underfunded state schools, which the Tories are planning on underfunding even further. I assume you have private healthcare too and therefore won't be needing the NHS at any point in the future?

^

It's OK, bumble bee, just be grateful for what you've got, right? Who needs good, equal education and universal health care?

WashingtonIrving · 13/12/2019 02:11

Thanks @EnidButton god it’s difficult to know what to say isn’t it? Just was feeling a bit invisible (as in real life 🤔)

WashingtonIrving · 13/12/2019 02:15

@GruffaIoChrimbo sorry lovely - thank you, love the 🌟 🌟 xx

VanyaHargreeves · 13/12/2019 02:25

It's shit and this extremism on both sides feels like a very different country from the one I grew up in

Sad

HeIenaDove · 13/12/2019 02:29

Ian Duncan Smith holds onto his seat Angry

Absolutely astounding that my constituency contains one of the top wards for child poverty in the UK and yet they've voted the Tories back in. Well buckle up buttercups, the fight back - for our public services, our social care, our children, starts here.

HeIenaDove · 13/12/2019 02:35

@Awwlookatmybabyspider

amd4578 · 13/12/2019 02:36

The issue is these people have not voted tory.. They have voted brexit party.. Which have dropped the Labour votes... Baffles me that Labour could not see that not delivering brexit would lose them this election..

Healthypositivity · 13/12/2019 02:41

ConfusedAngryAngry

Waxonwaxoff0 · 13/12/2019 02:43

Gutted.

My area has also been predicted a Tory win, fuck knows why as our Tory MP has done nothing for our town.

Poppyfields21 · 13/12/2019 02:50

The poster commenting on her DDs private school...that poster is paying for her child’s education, but has already paid, through tax, for a place at a state school, which reduces the burden on the system Smile you should be thanking her!

Ifeelinclined · 13/12/2019 02:54

Sympathy for all of you. I remember how devastated I get when trump managed to get elected. It's shit.

Ifeelinclined · 13/12/2019 02:54

Was. Not get!

sashh · 13/12/2019 02:57

@LissJas
This is a quiet thread for those unhappy- can I gently suggest you go elsewhere please?

I'll add.

Perhaps you could find someone on the street to bury a £50 in front of. When you have to pull your DD out of her naice school because you need to pay for her appendix operation or another unforeseeable medical bill you will remember your attitude.

I'm in Wolves NE - it's gone blue and I can only think iit is because of Brexit.

HeIenaDove · 13/12/2019 02:58

Poppyfields im child free by choice Should ppl be thanking me too. Hmm See how ludicrous your post is.
