Just a quiet place to sit. If you want to gloat or opinionate about Corbyn please go over to AIBU.

OP posts:

So first con win - he says I’d like to thank gets a bit emotional Boris Johnson. Jeeeeesus

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 13/12/2019 01:08

Am absolutely staggered that you could read this thread title, read the words in the op and think "you know what I'm going to post on this thread about how pleased I am with the exit poll". Let's hope your dd's private school gives her a better education in basic comprehension than you had @LissJas.

Fouroutoffour · 13/12/2019 01:09

The people get the leaders they deserve... Which would be fine, if they weren't dragging all of us down with them. So many turkeys voting for ChristmasSad

WashingtonIrving · 13/12/2019 01:11

I’m watching the bbc and they currently are giving air time to Aaron Banks. WTAF

BIWI · 13/12/2019 01:14

@LissJas

Well I'm thrilled that my dd private school will no longer be under threat

Well thank for fuck for that.

Never mind the people suffering from the austerity measures (largely unnecessary) brought in by the Tories. Just as long as you and yours are OK.

AlunWynsKnee · 13/12/2019 01:14

It's awful. What are people thinking?

maidenover · 13/12/2019 01:16

Hugs to you all.

I blame the daily mail and the Sun, they’ve been drip feeding anti-immigration/ anti-EU rhetoric for years.

Ravenrob · 13/12/2019 01:17

Absolutely gutted. Gutted.

Thorilicious · 13/12/2019 01:18

I'm absolutely gutted. I can't believe how many people have voted against those in need.
This was basically a second refurendum, and I was really hoping it would be different this time

qwertyl · 13/12/2019 01:18

Democracy.....

Enough with the bullying!

HeIenaDove · 13/12/2019 01:24

We Are Fucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LemonPrism · 13/12/2019 01:27

I'm quite upset tbh, more than I thought I would be... I was ready for people to vote less right wing I suppose.

I've never been able to vote in an election that the stories haven't won ( I'm quite young) and tbh I'm so sick of them.

"Good luck to them. If the same has happened in my constituency, I'll no longer be donating to the food bank"

This is the fourth post ive seen tonight saying this.

Im NOT having a go or criticizing Just pointing it out.

Its likely because people are appalled at the stupidity of working class Tories.

And working class people who DO donate to food banks will be highly likely to reign things in a bit cash wise because the Tories are KNOWN for making cuts and who knows where they will cut next.

NotStayingIn · 13/12/2019 01:30

I hope I get to the hugging stage soon. Right now I am still so angry. I want all those idiots who voted conservative to really really suffer. Sure yes, lots of Tory voters are rich and will be fine. But the 'poorer' people who helped them get a majority, I hope their lives will be shit going forward. Well, I don't even need to hope for it, they will be. So... how do I get to the wanting hugs phase?

GruffaIoChrimbo · 13/12/2019 01:39

Probably bargaining, depression and acceptance not but I'd stay raging.
I am a hugger though so Bear hugs all round and Brew Cake with a Star for Washington - it says I acknowledge your existence on it! Wink

Antigonads · 13/12/2019 01:41

And you don’t think their lives are already shit and that’s why they voted the way they did?

Lots of people have said their middle class educated friends vote Labour. Bully for them.

And it’s rein.

Aheraldangel · 13/12/2019 01:43

I can't believe it Sad I don't want to stay in this country. It's only going to get worse.

VashtaNerada · 13/12/2019 01:44

I feel physically sick, genuinely nauseous as if I’m going to throw up. I’m a teacher in an inner-city area. Those poor fucking kids. I’m so shocked people have done this. I pride myself of my optimism, on believing that people are essentially good, but this has shaken me to my core. We had a chance to help people and it’s gone now. The best Labour leader in a long time has been utterly rejected by so many people, including many he would have helped. I feel so lost.

Redrosesandsunsets · 13/12/2019 01:48

I hear you but it looks like millions want this result? Isn’t that how it works. The most votes win?

bringincrazyback · 13/12/2019 01:49

I just don't understand what goes on in people's heads any more. And I really fear for what the future holds.

TheBananaInPyjamas · 13/12/2019 01:50

@vashtaNerada well said.

EnidButton · 13/12/2019 01:51

Washington You're not alone mate. Brew People are just not sure what to say to each other I think.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 13/12/2019 01:51

I think people want to ‘get Brexit done’

We're the ones who'll be done, well and truly. Either a No Deal which will devastate the economy for decades or he extends the transition agreement and we get ten years of negotiations.

WildImaginings · 13/12/2019 01:53

In bed but can't sleep.

I feel absolutely devastated and so bloody disappointed.
