How busy was your polling station?

I had to queue at the polling station this morning. That has never happened before. It was at about 07.45, it was raining and I'd have said it's a safe Tory seat where people might think their vote doesn't count.

Anybody else seeing signs of high/low turnout?

At 4.30 it was empty. However it was two portacabins instead of the usual one, so must be more people registered to vote. Actually several new blocks of flats in the area so more people, but they must have registered to vote.

Went at 9:30- i was the only voter there and I've never seen another person in there since I moved here.

Pretty quiet at all of ours (lots of colleagues working at poll stations)

MotherHeggy · 12/12/2019 22:00

Very quiet at around midday - only me and a young first voter. Never seen it so quiet but then I usually vote in the evening but was passing on the way back from town,so saved me going back out again in the wind and rain.

Mammajay · 12/12/2019 22:08

I asked on my way out..60% which is higher than expected apparently. Lots of young people

Villagegreenpreservation · 12/12/2019 22:08

Ours was dead Hmm

Skyejuly · 12/12/2019 22:12

Was busier this eve.

Though looks like if exit polls to go by they were probably blue.

SweetPetrichor · 12/12/2019 22:29

I voted at two different polling stations (myself and proxy vote for a friend) and both where pretty quiet. Much the same as always. Safe SNP territory, potentially labour if anything.

PinkBuffalo · 12/12/2019 22:35

I was the only one at mine about 17:30 this evening. I asked if good turnout, they said fair but not particularly busy. Awful weather here today which affects it

Thelnebriati · 12/12/2019 22:39

I went this morning and it was empty, the pad of voting forms didn't look like they'd handed many out.
Unlike previous years, no one drove round the streets with a loudhailer urging us to vote or offering to give us a lift to the polling station.

Joans3rddaughter · 12/12/2019 22:55

Busier than usual at 10am, all older people. No young people.

bengalcat · 13/12/2019 06:26

At 10am I’d expect the young to be at work , school , college etc .

LizziesTwin · 13/12/2019 11:15

I live somewhere with lots of self-employed/creatives
