Correction:- at least 1 fatality

tobee · 29/11/2019 15:11

Speculation it started on bus?

tobee · 29/11/2019 15:13

Civilian fatality.

HoldNose · 29/11/2019 15:14

Not good.

Can someone please clear up something, SkY news reported that Owen Jones cycled into the incident, why would someone do that?ConfusedShock

AlternativePerspective · 29/11/2019 15:15

Well, if the incident is over then the station will be shut for investigative purposes, saying that’s inconvenient if one has to travel through London Bridge to get home doesn’t mean that they wish others ill, it just means that it’s inconvenient.

ManonBlackbeak · 29/11/2019 15:15

There are are reports that the police shot someone in the head. Presumably a terrorist suspect?

tobee · 29/11/2019 15:15

Because he's a journalist Hold

TheStaleBiscuitofDoom · 29/11/2019 15:15

Not half so inconvenient as being stabbed.

ThatsMeInTheSpotlight · 29/11/2019 15:16

tobee where are they reporting that there was a fatality?

It was very brave of the passersby to intervene and disarm him.

vivacian · 29/11/2019 15:16

I too felt tearful watching the police officers running towards the incident when everyone else is being evacuated.

TheWristBoundLatexBitch · 29/11/2019 15:17

Sky news have reported the civilian fatality

tobee · 29/11/2019 15:17

Same as journalists going into war zones, landing on d day beaches with troops etc

tobee · 29/11/2019 15:17

The police That

ManonBlackbeak · 29/11/2019 15:18

It might be inconvenient that travel plans are disrupted, but at least they are safe and well. I really harshly judge people who moan about stuff like this. Like people who moan when trains are delayed because someone has died on the tracks. Hear hearted, selfish gits.

sundowners · 29/11/2019 15:18

Apparently he was stabbing people but is not dead himself- from reliable source

ThatsMeInTheSpotlight · 29/11/2019 15:18

Hold from the interview I heard, I don't think OJ deliberately cycled into the incident. He was just cycling in that area when it happened.

PlanDeRaccordement · 29/11/2019 15:20

Oh, so sorry my london friends. Praying for you all.

TheStaleBiscuitofDoom · 29/11/2019 15:21

He's severely wounded at best because there's footage of him being shot by police.

tobee · 29/11/2019 15:21

I think a lot of journalists know they are expected to report on stuff they come across.

A random BBC journalist happened to be in the area. He said he was going about non work business but, naturally, stopped to report in.

ThatsMeInTheSpotlight · 29/11/2019 15:22

tobee thanks. Praying that there are no more fatalities. Flowers

ClaudiaWankleman · 29/11/2019 15:27

Of course you can feel inconvenienced and also sympathy for anyone injured or affected by the attack.
In case anyone unfamiliar with London is wondering how to travel without LB being open, you can take the northern line/ DLR from Bank or Borough, and the national rail from Blackfriars.

CoolCarrie · 29/11/2019 15:28

Might not be terrorist related

There was a innocent man walking back to work in Edinburgh in the summer just past and a mentally ill guy killed him, just walked up to the poor man and stabbed him. People passing by grabbed the man and held him until the police and paramedics arrived, they were very brave as is anyone who tries to help in these terrible incidents.

havingtochangeusernameagain · 29/11/2019 15:31

*London Bridge station looks like it will be closed for a few hours more which is pretty annoying

Yes. Because your inconvenience is the most important thing*

And how would you feel if you needed to be somewhere urgently eg to get home to kids? It's ok to be annoyed that some nutter may make it difficult for you to get home.

Manon it's the STATION not the bridge (which may well be shut as well) which has hundreds of thousands of people passing through it every day. So yes it is an issue if it is closed. And those of you who get all judgey, stop the virtue signalling.

Might not be terrorist related No such thing as "terrorist", just murdering arseholes.

havingtochangeusernameagain · 29/11/2019 15:31

No such thing as "terrorist", just murdering arseholes Nearly always male too. We don't have a terrorist problem, we have a male violence problem.

egontoste · 29/11/2019 15:34

Will posters stop bickering ffs
